if it fails.. I personally think it should still be released.. people say it's unfair but they did a poll about making p hats becoming rares and it won and they still didn't release it as rares.. I think it's perfectly fine to add content like that aslong as the contents going to help in the longrun.. if it fails I'm sure alot of players will be extremely disapointed..

I also think it's silly how the rewards are to OP.. passive healing.. if Guthans wasn't dropping enough from NMZ why release an amulet to make that drop way faster.. it's just going to make guthans worth like 3M a set.. which in my opinion is quite insane..

Another thing.. you noticed not a single reward was a cosmetic -.- common not even 1? This is a skill that involves boat riding we should atleast get a peg leg! :D

Yeah, that's the thing. Specific rewards don't matter at this stage, and if anything, can hurt sailing's chance of passing. The one you mentioned being a great example - people might read that and vote no despite the fact it says all this BiS stuff will be polled separately. Sailing

Look San, you keep saying 32% is a minority, but it is enough to stop you, the very-closely but still-only-just-above-50% majority.

You're saying I'm arguing "technicalities" but the real point is that there are very legitimate reasons for sailing not to be added into the game.

If this game isn't 2006/7 Runescape it's not what I play this for and I will leave.
Us 32% minority holders will leave and you will have a game destitute of a bloody entire third of its fanbase.

I'm sure I'm not the only one playing this game to feel how it was to play Runescape back in 2006, and sailing will not help the cause of bringing back the Runescape we all used to love.

32% aren't purely the traditionalists like you. The actual percent is more like 15-20 as you can see from the ge and bonds passing. So actually, yes, you're in such a minority that you can't prevent some pretty huge updates. The other 10-15 voting no on sailing, I don't know their reason. There's still a fair few I've seen voting no on misinformation.

Honestly, the game has changed a hell of a lot from the 2006 dream you cling on to. So much so, if you were going to quit for that reason, by now you would have. Sailing

This isn't 2006/7 it's Old School.. it doesn't say anything about being 2007 on the homepage it says Old School RuneScape and if you're worried about the game changing please read the Zeah update thats going to be way more content.

This community is very disappointing sometimes, voting no because they want summoning, voting no because they didn't read any of the dev blogs, voting no because they didn't realize the other stuff was polled separately, voting no because they feel like it's "forced" on them...

On the Twitch Q&A stream, They said if it failed, but was close they would make the changes the players wanted and poll it again. Right now its almost 70% pass and we need 75. As far as skills they felt that if this doesn't pass then there may be no more new skills for OSRS. I believe this would be certain death for the game (gradual, but certain). Just look at what happened to RS Classic, they have a lot maxed accounts bored for eternity. I want our game to grow and go in its own direction. Don't just vote on a whim, please make sure you consider everything and read the developer blog first.
