Did you read the thread? Sailing is far from useless. In fact it could be the most useful skill there is.

Besides, running joke doesn't mean never happening. They did a joke about the dragon plate and that still ended up in game. Sailing

If only people could take 15-20 minutes to read through the first few pages and understand how very wrong they are. If they had this kind of mental capacity, though, they may be able to offer an actual refute instead of just posting or quoting the word "No", and in that case they would likely support.
