I just want to say that scammers usually do use pvp content to gain their items. To guard players from being scammed I suggest to have a pvp free option for players, that were already scammed and do not like all the hidden scamming stuff, that is because pkers or scammers have more and more new ideas to lure and trick.

I have noticed one scam which i have seen more and more recently.
A player will state " Quitting Runescape, giving away 10% of what you show"
Intrigued by this i traded to see what this was about.
By the player telling me he will give me 10% of what i show, this actually means i am giving him more than what he is giving me. I questioned the player and he logged.

The depths people go...

Hello, I just wanted to ask a question cause I’ve been scammed before from the Mobile phishing email, after which I took a break from OSRS for probably 2 years, coming in periodically. I’ve started back up regularly again and I’ve started receiving a lot of phishing emails, almost as if they know I’m playing again. Can I what can I do to stop these? Can I change my email? They got in last time without cancelling my pin or Authenticator, so I’d rather not be susceptible to it happening again cause at that point I wouldn’t have the motivation to continue playing. Vial

^ Maybe try doing a deep malware/virus scan and remove anything nasty that it finds, they could be getting your info like that. After doing so, clear all your cookies, cache, etc. and then I'd recommend changing emails.
