Basically, "Don't be dumb and think before you act" is what this thread is stating.

I was selling about 4k planks the other week and someone wanted to see them, so I showed them the planks. They put up a Falador Tab and said "My friend will buy all of them for $$ now in Fally park. Go there asap." I declined the trade, of course, and saw the person was still logged in. I messaged them and simply said "Nice try on the scam, but not really." and let it at that.

It's easy to avoid scams as long as you are thinking and are not acting on impulse while you play.

Indeed. It's easy for us more experienced and older players to say. This guide is aimed more towards our less mature audience in hopes of preventing the preventable. I'll echo the words I've always said, knowledge is power, the greatest weapon is education in these circumstances.

thanks, I didn't even know some of these but here's some more tips: use your common sense, don't trust trade don't drop items and always check second trade screen. also if you do get scammed don't consider scamming yourself, its not as profitable as other methods out there and you will just get yourself into trouble. The best scams make under 100k/hour and no exp so your better off doing flax/bowstrings. :P
