theres a pure ess scam going at the moment, saw it happening in w1 varrock bank, not sure exactly how it works but a player was buying p ess at high prices, then once he'd been traded he cancelled and asked if player could sell to his friend in camelot for a higher price than he offered (i think gave player a teletab), and somehow once the person had teled away, they had gotten their ess.
must be some kind of glitch, or he is doing something dodgy in the trade, but beware of anyone asking you to teleport while trading.
I think i was there when you got scammed. I know the scammer, he sold your pure essence to me for really cheap.
I think i sold it back to you. However..
I can explain how it works. It's actually a lame scam.
So you are selling 10k Pure essence for 80gp ea.
The scammer comes to you, saying he want to buy them all, and you put up all the pure essence.
With the pure essence in the trade screen, he tells you he's buying for a friend.
Because of that, he's paying more then the seller is asking for.
So he says, meet my friend in camelot, he'll buy all. and while saying that, he puts up a camelot tele tab.
Now you got your 10k pure essence in the trade, and he has the camelot tab in the trade.
His ''friend'' is buying for 5gp more then you ask for, and you get a free teleport tab to camelot.
This is where he's going to ''scam''.
He simply press on accept, and you do that aswell.
No need to check second screen because his ''friend'' is buying it in camelot.
2nd accept and you just sold 10k pure essence for 1 camelot tele tab.
He'll probably won't like it i am explaining it, but then again, i hate scammers.
I couldn't believe how simple this scam is, yet the one who scammed you has scammed over 20m+ in one trade. Making more money then i do, merching the pure essence.
