Nothing 2007-ish left in the 2023 world. Even the most old school 2007 Jmods like Mat K have evolved.

Mat K is now working for Mod MMG or Mod MTX old school players used to call him, helping him to sell RWT toys and MTX pixels crossover products.

Mat K in 2013: MTX is bad. No monetization manager allowed.
Mat K in 2023: Nice to work for Mod MTX... I mean MMG. Good company, very good package.

2007scape is history.

Sailing developer blogs are out. We now concretely know OSRS are not just copying RS3's POP but also content way past the pre-eoc timeline. We are going to see Waiko Island, Cyclopsis, Aminishi and Shaodw Reefs. Those are all very recent RS3 specific content around 2019.

They even added in Everlight, which is the even more recent Archaeology content.

Are they still even 2007scape apologists left? :)

as much as i dont like the negativity of this dilbert guys attitude. he is dropping some str8 up facts. i kinda hate that pking isnt a giant popular fuck-fest right outside of edgeville. i had to come back and learn what tthe fuck are revs and rev weapons and shit. tbh this 2023 scape is NOTHING like oldschool rs2 and should really just be called non eoc runescape.

Completely untrue. We are definitely getting buyable DMM progression with OSRS officially allowing gp swapping between OSRS and DMM worlds.

This is absolutely not 2007scape, not even MMGscape when we could only buy progression with Bond MTX but we were never able to buy competitive game play win with real money.

Funny story time, as I was living the true 07 life, being the pinnacle of:

Though between lamenting my fate at the bank, I also fished and cooked in the ever efficient Fish>Cook>Drop Burns>Refill now empty slots>Cook again>Repeat until entire inv is full THEN bank, grindset, that I may one day catch my own shark, when:

struck. In pure folly, inefficieny, and waste of a good inve of random swords and tuna, I actually fought the great destroyer. Everyone watched in awe as I stood my ground to tame the beast, succeeding on my last sword. For my courage, even if it was truly just idiocy, the good green graces of Guthix had the terror drop the shark I used to finish the quest.

One of my proudest moments, and the day I knew, I was, 'the ballz'.

It's not truly '07Scape unless we can storm the forums after every recent update and shake our pitchforks at Jigglyplex for their awful updates like removing free trade, climbing boots alch value, and having the epic final boss fight of the sea slug quest be pushing a freakin' pillar over onto the boss.

Okay that last one was actually 2011 but the forums were a hilarious place to be when that update dropped. Good times. :)

Hope you're doing well San, long time no speak! I may not see you again before the forums close, but I'm glad you kept this thread bumped all these years. This thread was a real gem.
