Sailing won't come in 2023

Obviously, that's NOW . We were referring to BEFORE , as in, if they ever let us know at any point in history that the Skill was PREVIOUSLY expected in 2023. It was NOT . That's what I'm explicitly trying to convey here: Jagex never told us BEFOREHAND that the Sailing skill was expected in 2023. They are telling us NOW that it isn't going to be released this year in 2023 and that's what you shared ;) .

We all know (according to Mod Kieran), we won't have Sailing in 2023, and it'd be way longer after that before we actually see it. He didn't say how much "way longer". It could mean 2024, 2025 or who-knows-when.

With that in mind, it won't surprise me to see some further changes on OSRS's Winter Summit plan.

First off, last they told us Forestry will come in 2 parts instead of what's shown on the OSRS 2023 Roadmap, with the first part being delivered in May (which is this month). Let's see if it comes this month...

Then we have the DT2 quest scheduled to be released in Summer 2023. I think this may come at the end of Summer, or a little later if they copy City of Senntisten to OSRS.

Whenever the new skill comes, it comes. If not, then not. However, I think most OSRS players will still want to know what content we will see in the game before the new skill.

Whenever the new skill comes, it comes. If not, then not. However, I think most OSRS players will still want to know what content we will see in the game before the new skill. Let's hope that it's sooner rather than later now that have publicly received a statement from a representative at Jagex :) .

Seems like what I think is pretty close to what OSRS told us today:

They aren't talking about Forestry, which they last told us would come out in part this month previously.

They are also telling us they will need extra time for the release of DT2:

What I think is DT2 will now be copy-paste of the old City of Senntisten quest. The only thing new will be 4 bosses.

No, it is not delayed. The "new skill" is just a typical vaporware. OSRS is just trying to sell the hype long before they may come up with any presentable solid content. The finished product may take years to come, from when it is advertised in 2022, or won't come if they can't come up with something the target audience will buy.
