Bromato i agree with everything you've said and i'm sorry about the haters/unsupporters. That solomons promotional item could'** been a real reward from an in-game activity. However, sadly i do believe it's a little too late for change since Jagex has started and continued with this for how long? Since 2012? is that when SOF came out? IMO the game did go downhill since SOF entered the game. Anyways we might be a minority now that most of the anti-solomons people have moved onto OSRS and/or have quit but i still support you all the way. I feel like as the years went on people started joining Jagex with the "If Jagex breaks the rules then it's not breaking the rules". And although the xmas event last year was great the halloween is a great example of how the event provided terrible rewards with the better spookier styled rewards being distributed via money (treasure hunter keys)
All games do it, as long as it keeps the game itself healthy and not die because of money issues. It is fine. Stop being such an idiot and get with the times.
There is hardly a single game that doesn't sell cosmetics, mounts or pets for real money.
Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.
Agreed, micro transactions aren't okay. It makes RuneScape look like a cheap game. If they have to resort to MXT to keep RuneScape alive then they've obviously failed in keeping the actual game healthy and attractive enough to have enough subscribers.
I love the cosmetics and emotes.
Spending money on something wich does'nt give me any advantage whatsoever besides looking original in PvM situations is not RWT.
I have litterally no gameplay advantage whatsoever with it.
