> if your life is so consumed by runescape that this is such a big issue in your life, then you need to wake up.
:I cancelled my membership almost a month ago*

***; there are many games out there that are COMPLETELY free, and the only money spent by the players is for purely cosmetic items
:Then get rid of P2P membership and make the game free

>people craved, was ways to stand out
:So you're saying that it does give an advantage

>f2p is amazing compared to what it used to be.
:It's littered with in-game advertisements. I wouldn't play the P2P game if an advertisement popped up every time I tried to do something. It's a matter of principle when Mod MMG said that he would remove those messages from the game*

***;I know it is summer
:This thread is older than summer. I am in college atm, but that gives me plenty of free time*

***; i hope a few older players read this and enjoy it
:I am an older player, and that was a pleasant read. You brought up some good points, but nothing that actually goes against the message of this post.

The idea of buying your success really doesn't phase me, and iv'e been a member going on upwards of ten years. I have yet to get a single 99, nor do I honestly ever care if I do.

That being said, I also believe that people have the right to pay for what ever services are offered. That's just how the real world works. The larger your bank account, the more you can do. Can other people do the same thing? Yes, but it may take them longer to save up the cash.

As an older member of society, I am not deluded into thinking that everyone should be equal. People are created equal, but live according to their own choices. If you have made the choice to spend money, and get Cosmetic/In-game bonuses, then that is your descision as an Adult. (I don't like the idea of minors buying the stuff, but that's not really on topic)

At the end of the day, the man with the bigger bank roll will have the better toys. That's life. That's capitalism. That's Reality. I have worked for years to get my character to the level he's at in my spare time, and I see people "Buying" higher levels all the time. I could do the same, but I do not want too. They do it, and that's perfectly alright because it's THEIR MONEY.

I won't respond to any feedback you give, because honestly there is nothing you can say that interests me. I have read and re-read your post, and honestly I see no reason for it. People have their hard-earned cash, and it is their right to spend it on whatever they want even if it gives them an advantage in the game. By spending your money, you could have that same advantage. You simply CHOOSE not to.

Thank you,
Cincada

Hey, been a while since I been on. Figured I would pay you a visit and see how everything is.

I almost hate to say how true the thread illustrates the future of MapleScape where there is a sticky for more anime and furry crap. It makes me nauseated.

Keep fighting the good fight.

@Cincanda: You probably will not read this, but I'm going to reply to you anyways.

It's a matter of principle. When a company states that it will never let real-world goods be exchangeable for advantages, then that company should stick to its word. Part of this game's appeal was that everyone started off equally. It is not meant to be like real life, it is supposed to be like Runescape.

@BL0NIC: Hey man, thanks for keeping up with the issue and thanks for the support.

IVP or w/e cant own jagex stocks because Jagex isn't publicly traded so therefore doesn't have stocks, i know because a long time ago i was actually interested in buying jagex stocks untill i found out it wasn't possible :( IVP (or w/e) is an investor. even if they did own the non exsistant stocks by more than 55% it would mean that they can go to some annual meeting and make a suggestion basically, this kinda thing irks me. IRL example :P my fiance tells me oh fiat owns over 55% Chrysler stocks (publicly traded company) i hate all Ram trucks now because they are actually fiat pretending. oh brother X D Nope never

Jagex doesn't publicly sell stock, that is why they are labelled as Jagex "Ltd" meaning limited meaning that they only have a limited number of stock that are available to sell, and they choose to only have those stock available to venture corporations or large private investors.
