Okay, so what will this thread do?

What about the people who've already bought these things - just take it all away from them? And then what? They have to compensate somehow and people would still rage about the unfair advantages those people get.
And if there was no compensation even more people would rage.

I like the cosmetic items, and though I don't agree with it completely, there's not much we can do about it. At least SOF has it's monthly limits and the xp/gp isn't significant.

I'd like it better if instead you could do a certain amout of surveys or something game-related that would benefit Jagex and RuneScape as a whole to obtain these cosmetic things.

As for the Loyalty Programme, I don't have much of a problem with it. FTP is terrible and I like being rewarded for something I'd be paying for regardless. I just don't like the fact that your points go down if you lose membership. It should just pick up where you left off when you last had membership.

The only issue is when you pay EXTRA specifically to get things that not all players can. That's when it becomes unfair.
hey lol

Your purchases do not help updates come out any faster or better, other than more frequent Solomon's updates.

It puts money in their pockets, gives us slower updates and less content, as they're inspired to make more and more off Solomon's.

I've bought some outfits myself, but don't be fooled into thinking it benefits the game in any way.
hey lol

I know this is going to sound shameful amongst others, but it is a prime example of what is going on here. Back when I had a full-time job being a teenager and not having much to do with my money, I would treat myself to $50 worth of spins here and there. Don't get me wrong, enjoyable. BUT I also pretty much got summoning from around 40 to 65+ over the period of time I was doing this from lamps alone.

Please tell me I was not able to advance ahead of other players with 'IRL money'.
This is all so very true and as I said it is shameful that I was a supporter,
but I can also vouch that this is a very serious problem for the games integrity and future players! :@

I'm against squeal of fortune for it's ability to give a unfair in game advantage but not so much Soloman's general store(I'll admit I've bought a few outfits) and the pets dont give that much advantage they let you bank one item every 10 minutes.

I had a friend who spent 4,000$ on the Squeal of Fortune he got around 40M xp (99 summoning being one of the highlights) as well as enough money to get all the other buyable skills to 99, and still having enough left over to be comfortable (Divine, 3rd age)

It's large advantages like that where I believe we need to draw the line.

"I draw the line at spending four thousand dollars on a game."

Wasn't the point in how much he spent I was using this particular case for a example of how extreme advantage he had. If it's your own hard earned money who's to tell you what you can or can't spend it on, but yes I agree it's ridiculous.

The point is he spent this and he gained enough xp and money equal to months and months of playing I don't think this should be possible it jus* isn't fair if they aren't going to remove the option on buying spins I think they should severely limit it.

so many of the items released through the sgs would have been excellent contents released into the game!

the zammy armour could have been an alternative to bandos. the cheaper zammy sgs armour is identical to the armour the zammy boss actually has, and the meat cleavers could have been potentially lvl 75 duel-wielding weapons.

The pets look way better than the pets recieved at 99 summonining. they could have been an added bonus to getting 99 in summoning. The pets at 99 summoning are dragons and the jad pet, All these take a lot of time to get also requiring 99 slayer for the jad pet and a fire cape ( willing to bet most people with those pet couldn't even do the fight caves,)
The pets even do stuff that pets at 99 summoning can't do. They pick up stuff... Would be great to be able to have a pet that's slightly useful at 99 summoning or anything good.. tyvm for nerfing steel titan not fix it.

People were talking about wings... Like ones from the prayer cape etc...
Possibly have them as alternatives to skillcapes or an option to change from skillcapes to wings? colour of the wings are indicated by the colour of the main skillcape. Although wings from sgs if released wont give any bonuses they will look 10x better than most capes avaliable to players that actually play the game and they recieve it only because they are able to buy them because they have access to acredit card or w/e they use.

great possible content that could have been released into the game wasted jagex.

Dont do this with rs3 if it actually happens.
