Not trying to start a scuffle, but your oppinion doesn't speak for all of us.
Some, maybe, but definitely not all. I'd say that most of us are ok with Solomon, only because there are hardly any threads against the store on these forums, and while I personally hate Yelps, I'm not sure about the majority of the players because I dare not enter the SOF forums

I admire your persistance in keeping this thread up, but what do you think would be a better alternative for Jagex to support the game? They can't rely on membership fees alone, and the Jagex Store doesn't look like it's been making any noticeable amount money off their merchandise since it was opened.
Any Suggestions?

Jagex is a company and Runescape is a game.
A player member is only paying for playing the game Runescape.

And not for running the business of the company Jagex.

@The 2013 UFO:
I never said my opinions represented the opinions of all of us. I actually stated in the first few lines:
>EDIT: The more I read this forum, the angrier I become. I CAN'T BELIEVE SO MANY OF YOU PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY SUPPORTIVE OF JAGEX ON THIS ISSUE.

Seeing that Jagex is a game developing company, I would suggest impriving the game in order to gain customers. There are many things that Jagex has yet to do that will attracts new and veteran players. One major thing that they could do is make F2P playable once more without dozens of ads for memberships around every corner, just like MMG had promised when he took office. A playable F2P means that more people would be willing to try out the game and thus be more willing to buy membersip later on.

Currently, Jagexy's business plan is very short-term, as can be seen by their gold premium membership package which offers a steep discount for a ton of things for things that would have made them more money in the long term.

@x Marusha x: Last I checked, a business should care for its customers instead of driving them away in favor of more simple-minded customers.

Totally true,
But what has business to do with players playing a game?

You mean....like they did for YEARS before that, the YEARS that saw massive growth and made people like Gower complete bank?

No, no, I'm sure that they *have* to milk us more. We had best just take them at their word for that one and completely ignore all common sense\blatant history.

personely i have nothing against the store as long it get to extreem like you have to buy exp to go futher in the game or you have to buy game money to buy thing with real money or buy in game thing with real money its fine with me.
i hope they are smart to balllance the stuf that they dont forget to make new armor and weapons for in the game that you dont have to buy with real money or so.
i think the sore is good as a extra service as long the extra service is not the main priori time things will be okay.

and btw personaly i dont give mutch about this game i play only now and i have 3 months membership because of i whas curious about this store.
sounds maybe hard what i say i se people complaining about this.
question.(no attack or what so ever) you ever played wow?
i do all the time and blizzard also have a store that they sell stuff even a few in game.
personely im not jagex have this store and i wonder why they have done this mutch earlier im asking my self jagex keeps its price low.
if so.
what can you expect low budget game where you pay like 6 or 7 or 8 doller euro or what so ever.
alto the quality are high maybe the servce is low.
when some games you have to buy first and than have to pay a monthly fee thats a bid more with less updates like jagex but better service.
just think what i sad here.
i pay more for wow than runescape.
both are big difference.
but when you play more for a game like i do.
makes you think a little :) :D :P
if you pay like 14 euro or so for a game each month and things go's wrong than you have allot real reason to complain about

Assuming the presence of a "silent majority" who support your opinion simply because they do not actively present opposition in a form you see and/or recognize is a verrry dangerous logical trap. One does not have to venture far into history to see its ramifications.

The reason for the lack of opposition is that it is not generally considered "constructive" per the rules of this forum. They want to know what to sell, not "don't sell stuff."

Just clarifying things.

you always can stop playing the game if you dont like it.
thats why i play allot more wow than runescape.
because there is less scamming and no (almost) gambling.
nice quiet and peaceful i pay more for it than runescape.
but I do not need this kind of practice to get annoyed at this sort practices.
so you always can *tart other games if you dont like it thats what i do to.
