"I support the removal of these new updates, the Solomon store and the Squeal of Fortune. But, who are we kidding, JaGex don't give a **** about us. It's all money, like you say, and the brainless players who are desperate for their cosmetic items and emotes. I don't know what's wrong with these "people"."
Yeah... this illustrates my take on the issue way too well.

I'd also like to promote the slippery slope principle.
Pretty soon in-game gold will be up for purchase so the rich kids can have all the advantages.
As long as jagex and their partners are getting their pockets lined, why do we matter?

Thank you VivaCaligula and Plant 41 for bumping and discussing.
@Tie Me Down: It isn't much of a slippery slop principle anymore since Jagex has already done all the things that the slippery slope would call for, but thank you for the added discussion points and the support.
@Kronokulas: What's ls? Thanks for agreeing though.

Wow, first off it's jagex's company, they are free to do as they wish with it. Also other than auras, the effect the other things have is rather minimal. Refer a friend could easily be abused though, that's the only thing i don't agree with jagex on. The other things do not affect the game. The only reason rwt isn't allowed is because buying weapons, gold, and accounts gives players who have money an advantage over players who play the game correctly. The two types of rwt are completely different. I pay real money to get a membership, that's rwt and it gives me an advantage over f2p, but it's not bad, why? Because it's just business. With the arguments you're making, you might as well make the whole game free. They have the right to sell in-game items for their own game, just as long as they don't give an advantage over other players. This doesn't so you should just stfu and gtfo.

I support. Well if actually meant a damn. No matter what we as the community short of all of us leaving at once nothing will ever change jagex (ivp) no longer cares what its community thinks and wont changer there ways. As soon as i heard in 2010 that ivp had bout 55% of jagex's shares i knew then and there that this game was gonna go downhill i used to play maplestory and then ivp ruined that aswell.
If you all remember the sof started out the same way as solomons some what. there was no buyable spins and we did nothing about it then. yes there was some rage but not enough to get the attention of jagex. Then eventually buyables came out. Mark my words solomons general store will not remain cosmetic for long.
Well thats all i got to say besides jagex needs to really learn ow to treat its costumers and actually interact with them.

Why is this so bad, because Jagex is making money besides membership? Is it so immoral for a *company* to try and make more money? No, looks do not affect any player's gameplay, you are not going to gain bonus experience by purchasing outfits or emotes from the shop.
RAF and SOF are completely different since both pertain to xp gains. Solomon's shop is a purely cosmetic shop, that's it. If people care so much about how they look, then why not just buy it?

You may not realize this but that is only the beginning. Very soon, he will sell Runescape gold and also very soon, he will give leverage through Runecoins to the person with the most money in real life.
