Do you actually have any proof that IVP 'ruined' MapleStory? Sure, they invested in them, but did they actually take them over?
I played MapleStory for years and years, and only heard about IVP once I picked up RS again. (Also FYI Hyper Teleport Rocks lets you teleport around the world.)
On the subject of RS...
With the next bot nuke just around the corner, Jagex needs all the extra money they can get. At the moment, who cares about cosmetic items?

@Chess Guy: I'm going off of articles I read about Maplestory's degeneration, and how it's correlated with how IVP took over at a certain time; I'm also using the Maplestory forums, where people have similar complaints about the company. Anyways, Maplestory is a free game, so I don't mind if it has microtransactions. Also, thanks for the info on the teleport rock.

I'd support this. People shouldn't be playing more than 10 hours per week.
The pendants of skill & the lamps on SoF are a first step in addressing the current imbalance. Once xp-bonus items are available from Solomon we shall have a fairer playing environment.

Bromato idk how long you've played the game but as from someone from 06 i feel like the game has run its course and its time for it to die. We need to be humane and put it down. We should allow the greedy IVP and now jagex sell actual rs gold so that it may implode and die. Its the only right and humane thing to do for other players.

I've also been playing since '06(might have actually made an account in late '05, idk), and I feel the same way.
I really want the game to die, but I just hate the slow, gradual death that Jagex is making it go through.
I was looking forward to the EoC because it might spice things up a bit for another few months, and then I'm off. I just want the new players to have the same good years between 06-08(F2P) and 08-09(P2P) that I did, and never have to experience the horrors of '10-12.
