Real pokemon game = has value. plays game normally.
fake pokemon game = cheap 3 dollar rip offs. Has bugs. Game does not play normally - i.e your save file gets corrupt.

In the pokemon universe, the older pokemon games from 1996-2010 hold quite a price tag in sealed brand new condition. The 1996-2005 games generally go for $300-700 while the older ones (pokemon red) can go for thousands.

Basically some unaware buyers end up finding a "cheap" deal of an older pokemon game for $3-20 dollars and to their disappointment when the item arrives the game cartridge looks different, the game lags at times and theres a chance the whole save file of the game can get corrupt (in otherwords deleted and you lose all progress)

Now when people buy these games everyone tries to avoid the fake counterfeits. However, these days the sellers have gotten better at making the fake ones look as legitimate copies.

_____
The point is when someone wants something they want that particular item. They might settle for an alternative but it's only time before they ask for the original item again.

Cheers for the detailed explanation, although this just goes to show that the comparison isn't at all applicable here, because nobody wants to buy games that are buggy messes, whereas people who care about the looks of the discontinued cosmetics wouldn't mind alternative versions, as long as they'd stay true to the originals. Those who wouldn't accept such versions are people who want those cosmetics for their status/the sake of wanting them (or in other words equality, not wanting others to have something you don't).

I just hate pple who act like they are entitled to everything in the world
without doing what it takes to get it...

Also to add a bit here, I generally agree with this, but I'd also say that the real problem is when people desire to ruin games for their original audience by trying to make the game appeal to an audience that it wasn't designed for. Currently, there exist many more games which let you just skip playing/give you plenty of handouts, than there are games in which you gotta work for everything and sometimes you may never be able to get something in the game (because it's either too hard some, or the opportunity has passed, or only X(%) amount of people can have it etc).

Runescape is meant to be the latter, and the audience of the former has been trying to convert it to the former. If people chose the games designed for them and the game developers didn't try to milk everyone, I doubt either side would have an issue with either existing.

Nothing against you personally, Lady. But I don't support THAT form of entitlement the others show. And I think you, of all people, having only missed the 1, deserve the chance to get that one.

TFW she did have a chance to get it but choose not to as she mustve been busy IRL or w/e.

So why should ppl get more than one chance at something that's only supposed to be released once?
If she was unable to play, for any reason at all, then she didn't have the chance. She was forced to miss it because something more important came up. And events, and these cosmetics and toys, are not important.

There is nothing gained by keeping them from coming back, so explain to me, without being a troll, why they are only meant to be released one time only? That benefits nobody and serves no purpose. Make more players happier, actually give people chances to get some things they missed. Theres a lot more to gain on all sides in second chances.

Btw, you want partyhats as Solomons overrides, which actually harms a real value. I dont give any credit to your posts here. Hypocrite.

She was not forced to miss out, she mustve choose to not log in as she either didn't have time to or w/e.

So whatever the case was shes openly stated she shouldn't get another chance.

Just like theres nothing gained from them coming back.

You just get more ppl keeping them with diango like ppl are now.

So nothing changes.

I believe she only says that because she feels she has to, and she doesn't. She's allowed to believe what she wants, not feel pressured by the 40% that claim to value them, while they really, as you say, diango them.

There's profit to be gained by Jagex, and there's a sudden burst of nostalgia and happiness for thousands of players. Whether they eventually start diangoing themselves or not, the update is a success from every person interested in it, being the 60% who wanted it.

Dont mention any shit about any 75% requirement because regardless of the percentage, the overage in support was over 25000 people, and that's far from being a fluke. There's no need to force any requirements when the update harms nobody and satisfies many.
