Okay, I've missed out on EVERY card promotion. I haven't gotten any of these cool items that people (children who don't have a credit card & sneak out to buy membership) do get. I know what you guys think. They pay abound 2 euros more for 3 months so they deserve it.
This is where it gets funny. It's not 2 euros more for me. It's not 10 euros. Our GameStops don't have online stores, so I'd have to get to the store to get the card. It's not a problem. If you live near to one. I'd have to travel literally across the country to buy the card. This would cost me at least 50-100 euros just for the travelling.
You could give these items to me after I've been a member for 3 months after the release. I will. You could even charge that 50 cent more every month, I'd be ready to pay for that. I just can't afford to waste all my money on getting these cards every time you have a cool offer. I'm pretty cool

I'm excited, I like getting items, I hope they get the red cards to the supermarket in my town so I don't have to take a 30 minute drive to the GameStop or Walmart near me. I don't understand why everyone is complaining, it's not the Halloween event item, it's if you pay a little extra to continue to play you get a small gift, I like it :)

People are complaining because;
a) TECHNICALLY, this does class as Real World Trading, which Jagex are 'apparently' 100% against, although you only need to look at the Wheel to contradict this ~
b) People who like to collect items aren't able to for whatever reasons, (No-where near the included shops [Like myself], unable to afford the immediate cost, or because they don't want to spend more money than they already are doing for membership. {I'm aware buying a card pauses your current recurring membership, you aren't paying for 6 months and getting 3} by this I simply mean it's cheaper to get 3 months recurring than it is to get a 3 months membership card.
c) People aren't getting the item despite following the instructions for whatever reason. (Although I can't verify this)

It may not be an actual event item, but doing promotions like this without offering an alternative can and will annoy people (Quite rightfully to be fair) as this isn't really a loyalty reward, it's more of a kick-to-the-groin for long-term players who don't have a parents wallet they can dip into.
