Nictheexpert, even though i said in my other post "Stop complaining", that doesn't make me a hypocrite nor does it make me not understand how members pay differently - Get treated differently.
Now, be careful what YOU say, because YOU'RE the complaining one. You said all these things that contribute to your complaints - "I think RS has gone downhill", You said stuff about riots, and "I think it's obvious Jagex wants more money because they try encouraging people into buying membership cards with exclusive items". Huh.
One thing - WHY do people have to complain about this event? If you don't want it - Don't get it, and don't complain! End of story. :|

Lextinctwolf, i am NOT trying to convince myself that i am not a hypocrite. I am not a hypocrite, and i have my reasons.
Yyaavvuuzz, i agree with you. That is absolutely unfair.
P.S: I know i complained about the money, but don't go agro on me.

OK - so here is my theory.
Jagex has been pushing to get its cards into many retailers for people to be able to buy them. The problem is that only a few people will buy a prepaid card if they don't know much of anything about the game - that being said, it is still a possibility that people will pay for the game and this is a new way to obtain new potential customers. The people most likely to buy cards are current customers, but it is cheaper for the current customers to by the game from their credit cards rather than in the shop - so not that likely either.
But to get the cards in the shops, Jagex says that at least this many will be purchased. So Jagex needs to drive people to buy cards at stores. The most likely people to buy cards are current customers, but there must be a way to convince people to spend more money to buy in the shop rather than by credit card.
So Jagex gives away free stuff attached to the cards. It actually takes away money from Jagex (because of the markup given to the stores), but Jagex does it because they think this is a lower customer acquisition cost than some other method. And because for a company looking to sell out, being able to say they are into these retailers is a good thing.
This is why I think Jagex is giving nothing for payment by credit cards. And this is why they won't.
Those are my thoughts. Please tell me I am wrong....

so your saying for the people who bought the 3 month membership within the last week, just go buy another one? so then we have 6 months of membership? what do we do next month when you bring out yet another item loyal memebrs cant get? have 9 months of membership stacked up? this is total unfair bs. your supose to treat your loyal customers better...
you guys said that the reason why you dont like rwt is becuase a players real life status should have nothign to do with in game status, how is this any different? your selling an item, for people who are willing to pay a couple extra bucks for a membership card, another epic fail just like the s store and sof, you guys are rwt yourself.
it use to be if a player wanted to be good and have everything in game, he or she spent the time to get all the items, skills and quests,
but now, its all that plus you have to spend an extra like 100 bucks to get everything....maybe an update that does not fail for ocne would be nice?
and for all the people saying oh im already a loyal cutomer thats not fair, jagex does not care the least bit, if you are a memeber and have been for years, then why woudl you stop getting your membership? through there eyes your gonna be a member anyways so why offer you the item? they know you wont quit over a silly item, thats why they do it. jagex are the biggest scammer in this game today

also, for anyone who does not live near a store that has them for sale, send me a message and i will sell you red game card for 40 usd.
jagex, if you have 200k members paying 5 dollars a month, you are making over 12 million a year alone just on memberships, you guys really fail if 12 million a year is not enough to run this site and still make a huge profit, or your a bunch of greedy scammers, scamming these poor kids. since you scam them i thought its only fair if i scam them to :)
and i understand wanting to get new customers, but is pushing away your loyal ones the way to do this?
