Well, I thought Jagex needed money... Why are they so specific about what type of membership cards needed to get this promotional item? O.O
Personally, I think it's to get newer customers OTHER than the long-term loyal members of Runescape. And I wouldn't really complain and whine about a mere holiday item that won't benefit you in combat nor skilling... No one is forcing you to get every single holiday item, right? <.< ~ A lonely penny, heads up, looked at the sky.

How the hell is this fair for the players who pay by credit or debit cards? I mean, why should I go buy 3months membership when every month I pay *7 for membership. This is not fair your forcing the players to buy something they already have.

So, I am back to apologize. I read the news wrong. I just got the mask with a regular game card. I thought it was supposed to be a red one. Nope, and now I am happy. I was holding onto this card for a little while since I was expecting that an incentive thing was gonna happen. Jagex seems to run one every 3 months, which I think is fair. By the time your membership runs out from one incentive, another one comes along.

These rewards should be given to members who have maintained a membership for more than 3 months. As a long time member who has paid for many, many months of sub-standard updates, I object on general principle to being asked to buy a game card on top of my automatic subscription. I don't care what you offer, I'm not buying a game card.

As usual discrimination appears to be what Jagex is all about, being a so called "loyal member" amounts to nothing other than xp. However, if I want to go the really inconvenient route of buying 90 month membership cards which have a retailers commission added on top, I get a mask, katana sword or some other untradeable item.
I very much doubt that Jagex make any more than they usually do its just another avenue to spread the word, and evidently it doesn't attract new business just allows those who prefer to pay via membership cards than credit cards.

I Surely agree with the people with Reaccuring mamberships not getting these items, like the flaming skull, you would think that with yeasr of keeping an account payed for that we, people paying for reaccuring accounts, Would be able to get these items, Or maybe pass on the idea that if you keep a reaccuring account for a period of time that we would get some type of Special item for doing so.

I do agree with the fact that recurring members (who pay in credit/other virtual transfer system) should have a chance to get these items also.
BUT.
First time they made these, it was katanas, and what not, and you could only get it in a specific country. We all complained.
Next one (that I remember) was the flaming skull, had improved and was more videly available in Gamestops - but not in every country. We all complained.
This one is available in anything red or 90 days.
I'm not saying it's perfect, but they are clearly improving it at each go, and actually listening what we're saying. So hopefully, next ones will improve again, until maybe all 90 day buys (?) online or credit or anything will be able to get these items :)
