I agree with so many on here, I have been a loyal member since 2006 paying every month via direct debit, and yet again, another item we can not have access to... and like many, im not upset about the mask either, but its just the point. Seems the loyal members that pay monthly automatically without fail get no gratitude at all. And I refuse to go and buy a game card just to get an item. So pointless.

The catch in all of this "buy a card and stack it on your recurring membership" is that the cards cost more than the credit card renewal, per month.
I suppose my reward for being a reliable schmuck is that my membership is about $3 less a month than the guy who buys a membership card once in a while. However, I suspect (if you look at my little medallion there) that I have paid Jagex significantly more over time than those who buy once-in-a-while game cards.
A special cosmetic reward for the reliable types would be nice too....

I have missed about 10 different untradeable items due to me being a credit card subscriber.
I have used my subscription method for over 10 years and NEVER received any perks.
On multiple other accounts I have sent cash overseas and NEVER received anything for it.
Your promotional items are getting on everyones nerves.. What am I to do? Cancel my credit card sub and pay $4 more per month just for your stupid items?
Jagex you have sold out to your investors and allow yourselves to be run by moneyhungry insolence.

Why do I not get a reward for paying every month ongoing for my membership?
You are giving rewards for buying store bought cards, would you prefer that I pay by three month instalments? Which would require I go out and buy my membership at a shop as it is I pay direct to Jagex but get no reward no loyalty bonus.

how about the people that have auto payments set up? its BS i have had auto pay for years so i don't buy cards to get these things. add some special items for people with auto pay, do away with these special items all together, or give them to everyone.

Mods, you should have an alternative acquisition method for these one off promotional items. There are all kinds of reasons listed on this thread why some players are unfairly burdened by the process as it sits. At least if there was an alternative, you could distance yourself from the microtransaction stigma somewhat. Perhaps the item could also be available to players with recurring memberships over a certain length of time. Or players with high skill levels in certain areas. Or those willing and able to complete a quest. Or all of the above.
