EXCELLENT!!! Having just been the victim of a ruthless attack on my account, and at the same time my wife's account on a toytally different machine, I ceremoniously welcome Jag's efforts to protect us and our hard fought for account stats.
I started a brand new account and that has been fun, but I lost so much. My wife just couldn't give up her stats, but it is so depressing for her every time she tries to use one of her premium items and it isn't there or she tries to buy anything (with no cash.)
I don't really know which method was best, new account and start over or try to rebuild the already developed account. But, after having looked over the guardian program I don't think I will ever have to make that decision again.

That explained a lot. Makes me wonder, who were suitable to gain this "soft launch". On what criteria was it based?

I don't get the complaints? You who complain must never have been hacked. IT IS A MISERABLE EXPERIENCE!! You feel totally violated. This up date is a real boon to the safety of the game.
Don't commit your question aswers to memory. My Gawd, create a separate file and store them on a different machine or something. It's simple folks, try it, you'll like it!

Thank you Jagex for this security upgrade. I have narrowly avoided being hacked twice in the past and this adds further security. If my guess is correct the security questions we have set for the JAG do not override our recovery questions? Recovery questions remain in effect and are used to recover an account if hacked while JAG questions are only for computer access or am I incorrect? Could you please clarify that point

From the Jagex Account Guardian FAQ:
12. What happens to my recovery questions and answers?
When you enable JAG, your old recovery questions and answers will be replaced with your new JAG security questions and answers. The new security questions can only be set once and cannot be changed, which makes them a safer option. Hi.

I must say I love this new option :) finaly something that makes hacking rs account almost imposible. Even if they hack my email and my ******** they cant log on my account its perfect ty :) . I sure hope that people will use this new option.
