And before you get all high and mighty, I have played since the days of Classic, thank you very much. 8 years on this account alone, membership on and off. Don't play the "oh but I've been playing longer than you" line, for it means nothing.
And again, old Jagex under the guidance of Mr Gower said that they would never sell things for money except membership. Except he doesn't own Jagex anymore, they're owned by IVP and they never said that they wouldn't.
Again, someone who decides to buy a few spins and get a couple levels does not impact you at all unless they've thrown all the xp into combat stats and are running around killing you 24/7. The GP gained from the SoF is nothing compared to what the legions of bots introduce every single day, and before you start whinging about the 200m grand prize, it's that rare that it really doesn't make a ton of difference.
Remember, a reed bows before the wind and remains safe, while the oak struggles in vain and gets uprooted for its troubles. Like it or not, change is happening and all the forum whiners are not going to do a thing to stop it.
