It is not real world trading, yet people keep going off their tree like it is.
Real world trading is when a 3rd party (Bots/Gold sellers) sells ingame items to other players (2nd party) for real money in order to line their pockets, thus stealing from the 1st party (Jagex).
It is not real world trading. You seem to all be ignoring this. Jagex is offering you the chance to trade your money for spins on the SoF or Runecoins, which you can then spend on items/chance for items in game.
This is the EXACT same system that many other MMO's use. Example, Rusty Hearts lets you trade money for Zen which you can then use to buy cosmetic items and boosts for your characters. Aeria Games lets you trade your money for Aeria Points to use in their variety of games. Are you going to tell me that it's also RWT when they're doing the exact same thing that Jagex is now doing?
Of course, you're just going to ignore me and accuse me of being paid by Jagex when you're all being pigheaded and ignorant and refusing to see things how they are.

This, right after a supposed statement that "selling xp and gp is not considered" is emphatically a microcosm of the delusion Jagex have. Allowing players to obtain such a large amount of coins and xp in such an easy manner debauches the whole idea of achievement and enjoyment, the two things which have been what true Runescape players play the game for. Shambolic.

Jagex, are you being serious right now??
You quoted saying that you would never go down this route and you pretty much are because almost every spin i get GP or valuable item, especially now you can turn almost everything into coins with the convert coin option.
This makes it so easy for new players to make money...

its microtransactions which jagex said they wouldnt do and its updates giving more advantage to people with lots of cash to spare, which jagex said they wouldnt do
and who cares if other games have it. most mmo's suck sht why does jagex think they need to copy all of them

More like 10 year old jagex haters whining about everything.
Is legit the new buzzword of 2012 or something? Everyone seems to tout it like it's some sort of moral high ground only they have. You'll be telling me that exp rewards from quests and random event lamps make one illegitimate next.

Seriously??? So we've just been given a BS explanation of the reason for MT's in RS, and then we get that.
Please, just calm down with the SOF. We get an update for it EVERY SINGLE WEEK. I'm sick of it. Once or twice a month is fine, but this is ridiculous. I'm just a man; I'm not a hero.

I have run out of things to say.
But if you really need the money.
Have thought of product placement
E.G. Changing the bank of Runescape to:
The Bank of "insert high street bank name"
You could have a different name every month/week.
The same could be done for all the shops and pubs.
How about going into a shop or pub and buying a lets see:
" Insert popular ground meat patty maker”
with
" Insert popular cold drink here"
and
“Fries”
I personally would find this annoying and a sell out but no were near as annoying as selling in game advantages and the constant squeal/store promos and popup.
P.S.
I could really do with some more bank space: Say another fifty.
Is it true that the next quest will be £5.
