Dude, the president of the united states hasn't written his own speeches for the last 50 years. The very fact that he wrote and authorized the posting of the thread is a good thing to see.
Or perhaps, people just don't get how little a CEO actually has to do with the content of a company?
The basic idea is to move as the penguin moves to force it along a straight rather than a diagonal. (penguins always try to move diagonally).
Sliding penguins can become a very valuable tool in herding penguins so I will do my best to cover as much of it as I can. It does take a
lot
of practicing in-game though.
East / West sliders are easier than North / South ones, I have explained the different ways to approach them in the lower sections, but first here are the similarities.
Click Lag
Click lag is the time between clicking and that of your character starting to move, it depends on your 'ping' on the world you are on.
On world 137 I have a ping of over 100, I find this equates to a lag of about 1 squares walking time for a penguin (which is about 0.62 seconds)
I will assume this click lag throughout my guide, if you find you are moving too quickly to slide a penguin when following this, just adjust your timing slightly later.
Which Squares You Block
This is the key to North / South sliders and makes East / West ones easier.
When you are walking you are blocking the square you are leaving until you are pretty much all of the way out of that square.
However, you start blocking the square you are moving to sometime before this.
This means you are blocking 2 squares quite a lot of the time.
How to Move
The number 1 rule is switch
OFF
run. Penguins move at the same speed as we do when we walk.
You should click as far as you can on the slider you want to perform. Each time you click your character stops for a tiny amount of time, so try to reduce the amount of clicks you make per slide.
Diagrams
In all of the diagrams below, I will be showing an East slider or a South slider when the penguin is trying to move SE. All of the other angles and sliders follow the same principles. This will hold true unless otherwise stated.

I am really looking forward to the new graphics and the account gaurdian and so happy that it has been confirmed that no exp/gp micro-transactions will be introduced Thanks jagex maybe we can get this game back on track to be the #1 Free Mmo
(If LOL still beats it
~Mubes~
It is the buyable spins that is the problem with SoF! Don't just mention SoF in general cos he will answer as if just using free spins as he did in his last post >.>
Steve, lamps are common enough that if you have a minimum wage job and buy spins and use those, you can easily gain higher XP/h than someone who plays the game for equal time.
Hence, you are selling XP already
Basically, you're finally admitting that squeel of fortune and Solomons general store was made to make extra money without putting everybody who didn't buy those things at a large disadvantage, and not because they're awesome game content that everybody enjoy?
@Wtflolwut I am happier than I was with Jagex. However they keep avoiding the main point of our annoyance at them. They have avoided it since April 2nd 2012.
lol nice cover up mods... i hope it crashs and burns just like this game.
YOU have ruined it!!! **** sake guys..listen to your players **** its not that hard..
we dont want squeal, eoc, or the stupid general store..get rid of them
