the sad thing is if they had'nt made me so cross about the buyable spins disaster ,including the non communication for weeks , changing the rules and then eventual double talk, then might have been much more receptive to buying something at solomons store . In fact if they had said that buying emotes and teles would help them fight the scammers bots and keep buyable xp out of the game would have considered it a donation to keep up the quality of the game and bought quite a lot.

Widow Alarhu says:
>>> Gerhard says one thing—no more microtransactions—and what's the first thing that happens? More microtransactions.
Gerhard did not say anything of the kind. He explained the basis for microtransactions. There's no inconsistency there at all.
Plenty of people disagree with the direction he's leading; but so be it. That is jagex's call and time will tell whether it actually leads to death of the game or ongoing development. I don't see any reason to presume dishonesty in deciding to use microtransactions as they have done; you can disagree over it by dealing with what Gerhard ACTUALLY says, rather than just attacking a strawman.

I think selling xp and gp prizes on SoF severely cripples the games integrity. You may claim otherwise but it is rwt, it is the same as selling xp/gp, and it does affect the game greatly.
A person I know has admitted to "training" agility with spins. The person does this only with spins. As as example, during one day this happened:
5:14PM 94 agility
7:40PM 95 agility
9:05PM 96 agility (over 1739k xp in 3h 51mins)
That averages over 450k xp/h on AGILITY...
A day or two before this person bought 92-93 agility 44 minutes apart from eachother. Thats over 677k xp in 44 mins. It averages to over 924k AGILITY XP PER HOUR. :|
This person has BOUGHT 80-96 agility in 9 DAYS with spins. Not trained, bought. It does affect the game when one of the hardest skills is lvled so easily by bank standing. Its not a challenge, its not hard, its not an IN-GAME achievment that way. In-game achievments are all runescape is about, whats left when you devalue it so greatly and continue to do so?
This person buys 99 agility in a couple weeks. A skill I TRAINED for 6 months to have the cape. Someone just buying it while standing at a bank makes me think my whole time used on rs was a complete waste... :(
And I only mention agility, the same person naturally leveled most skills during the "agility training" and possibly earned millions of cash. How can a legit in-game player even begin to compete with that...
Its like training for a marathon where wealthy contestants use a motor bike... Well worth it?
Not to me.
Ive played rs for over 10 years, ever since rsc. Ive enjoyed and loved rs for most of this time but something has changed over the last year or so.
You sell items, xp and lvls in SoF... Bank space in solomon shop... 1m+ xp for anyone who pays you 2 months.
Youre devaluing the worth of in-game achievments and youre devaluing my whole character which I worked on for years.
Please stop the buyable SoF spins and buyable bank space. They are RWT as you buy them with REAL-WORLD money

Buying in-game xp, gp or items that come to you whether you work for it in game or not is RWT.
Players have to play REAL-WORLD money to gain IN-GAME xp, items, gp etc... These so-called "microtransactions" are as much RWT as buying from a 3rd party.
Jagex had strong principles against unfair gain of IN-GAME xp, gp and achievments with REAL-WORLD status or wealth for most of the 10 years Ive played.
But you even removed this from the rwt rule:
"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape."
This is exactly how I feel, and while you corrupt the game I loved, I refuse to fund any more SoF or any other RWT updates. Thats one of the main reasons Ive been f2p for over a month now. :(
I hope you realise what your new strategies do to the game.
Thank you.

Yeah, its just sad... :/
I do realise jagex is making some considerable in-game updates like EoC and bot updates, draw distance etc.
But I would certainly prefer to have bots and lower graphics if it ment getting rid of SoF and buying xp/gp/bank... Ruining the game with SoF and other RWT is not worth these updates. :|
Also I prefer the fog over the increased draw distance with pixelated details, tyvm
