Been a member for awhile but just recently stopped playing compleatly after the SOF and the Solomon's general store updates. (I have nothing against Solomon's general store, its a great idea as long as its only cosmetic - I do hate always seeing its updates featured evreywhere tho)
Probably wont be re-subscribing for awhile now

I also agree if you buy those your supporting the destruction of the in game runescape economy so whatever her name is can't make a profit later to do anything in the game because she doesn't want to pay 2 dollars more a month.
But unlike her so says 02 playing i last remembered that i still pay 4.95 a month because your locked in. So I have no idea where she getting to comparison to World of warcraft to runescape. WOW a blizzard game is the most played game in the world of course its going to be more and has 20x the graphics as this.
So don't try to act all tough and smart because within seconds your argument fell apart
Not all change is for the better.

While I (sort of) missed Free Trade, I did not support its being back because I was highly suspicious that Jagex would not be prepared to be deluged with the bots and RWT that it would bring back. I, and other skeptics, were right. All of you that 'voted' for it back were lied to, or to soften it, were at the least seriously misled, about Jagex's preparation for it. So, today, 1 year and 8 months later, we still have a game where large portions are UNPLAYABLE due to their eagerness to convince players they were bringing back some kind of "golden glory days" of Rs. It largely didn't work. All they ended up bringing back were cheaters and scammers and those in even greater numbers than before, to the point where I guess they felt forced into microtransactions to (try to) increase revenue.
I, too, hope to finally see some action on the bots/RWT front again. What has happened this past month has been way too little, way too late. Perhaps what's coming will make up for the 'too little' and be 'better late than never'. I'm not optimistic.

As for assuming that everyone has paid for runecoins/spins, including those against, that's just the most idiotic statement I've heard yet.
I will never purchase anything but membership from them, and what they do very soon will very much determine how much longer I pay even that.

So, you try to wow us with new graphics, html5, and a bot nuke to try and make up for all the sewer waste you've been doing with the Solomon's Store and Squeal of Fortune.
Whatever happened to this?:
"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape."
The Squeal of fortune is a clear advantage that players can use to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
And, bank space is a valuable commodity. Selling it to players also is a clear advantage that helps you be successful in RuneScape.
I miss the old regular content updates, and it seems these have become less and less frequent after the release of these real-world trading apparatus.
"Interesting suggestions, I'll feed them on back to the team in charge of SoF."

YOU HAVE A WHOLE TEAM FOR SQUEAL? Is this why we haven't been getting regular content updates?
And what did Moerdred say? Why did you censor him? Because he pointed out the flaws, just as all us players are?
I don't want your Q&A, either. Unless you will actually answer the hard questions about things like this, just put the time into developing actual content.
I'm probably going to quit for this school year, maybe check in once in a while. Too much going on with sports, classes, etc. My greatest fear for Runescape is that the next time I come back, I won't recognize anything. Please, Jagex, listen to the outcry of your community.
Regards, Fire Majic72.

"As long as you keep to your word for not selling gold and xp directly, but continue indirectly (you know what i mean). "
They broke their word once on this subject with SoF and solomon's in the first place.
Now you can get bankspace from Solomon's. This is jagex getting us used to the water before they throw us into the deep end of the pool.

Thanks MMG for finally contacting the community about the reasons behind these updates. However, how can we trust you when you say you won't allow us to purchase gold, xp or even accounts? In the past, you came back about many things you 'promised', such as:
1. Bringing back wild & free trade;
2. Introducing micro transactions;
3. Adding any more discontinued items;
4. etc...
Also, this part of your post made me quite scared about what the next updates are going to be about: "For example, we know that directly selling gold, XP or even accounts would generate between 10 to 15 times more revenue than Squeal or Solomon’s Store generates combined. However, we simply won’t do it, because we don’t believe it’s the right thing for the long-term health of the game." Does this mean you might add other INDIRECT ways of selling gold and XP, just like SoF?
