I honestly stopped believing in Jagex's promises a while ago, so I couldn't care less about this "argument" about microtransactions that ends up talking about future updates.

What can I say? I am not convinced.
I have lost the incentive to play. You might have had your reasons, but it doesn't change the fact these simple updates somehow managed to ruin my enjoyment of the game. There's nothing I can even do about that fact, my subconsciousness already decided for me that RuneScape isn't fun anymore. Because I still try to play it sometimes and I quickly leave usually, not feeling right.
So say what you want... I don't think RuneScape can be saved for me anymore... Although you could try in one way... If you're already rewriting the client, get RuneScape released on Steam. Steam is currently my base of operations so to speak. If you get it there and even include achievements, then knowing my achievement hunting soul, I'll probably get a new incentive. Or let's hope.

Jagex, i just want to comment on a few of your updates coming, and quote a few things you have said.
The update im talking about, is EoC, or Beta.
These are your comments;
"Since RuneScape has been around for over 11 years, we naturally take extreme care when introducing significant changes to its gameplay. This caution is a result of both the direct involvement that many of us at Jagex have had with the game throughout its history, and player feedback highlighting the concerns often associated with such change."
"I believe we are one of the few games studios in the world that prizes the integrity of the game and health of our community over commercial returns"
"Please know that - although some of our decisions are not necessarily popular - they are 100% driven by the aim of building the strongest possible future for RuneScape"
"As I touched on before, the team - all of whom are committed gamers, like you - are constantly working on new ways to improve game play, and to strengthen the studio so that more content can be created for enjoyment of the community"
These are Quotes from the Jagex CEO, all pointing at bringing a better game, yet you still seem to want to plough ahead with EoC. Turning Runecape a game in which MOST of the runescape playing base dislike.
If you really do believe what you have said Jagex, then you will scrap EoC, you have already spent way too long on it. Players play Runescape because it is Runescape, not because it is World of Warcraft.
The people that have probably done the most testing are people like Castle Wars and Smokey9112. Still there are an incredible amount of testing that needs to be done, that should not have to be done since the game does not need to be changed. Rethink what you are trying to do Jagex, think about what it will do to the playing base of Runescape. How many players will really stay?
Riad.

"Drunken speculation has no place on RSOF.
While everyone is entitled to their own opinion-- in this case about who is controlling what or whom-- you are not necessarily entitled to post it on forums.
Do not recreate this thread nor anything akin to it."
