oh god more sof-only items
guys listen to this
in the past i would renew membs just to do holiday events seomtimes. usually i'd stop playing during uni months because of studying, but just renew for holiday events. i won't now. there's too many limited-release items and i've already missed some. if we refuse to buy spins, there's no way you can get:
* 5 drag ceremonial items
* 5 queens card items
*4 new shark fists
*Sunbathe emote
*Candyfloss
*Seaside rocks
*Water balloons
*Beach balls
* 4 more NEW items...
as an item collector i feel cheated that i have to buy spins to get these items. its the same with monkey hats and monkey mace. anyway, like i said, I've already missed out on some items so i won't be renewing just for holiday events anymore :( hopefully the amount of sof-limited items will decrease though
edit: think about this. why do people do holiday events? for the items! a few might enjoy it but it is mostly xp waste. I tend to just open a guide and find the quickest way to do it. trust me, messing around with item collectors might not be good for the long-term.

It's okay guys, we'll be the ones laughing when Runescape gets destroyed in the Golden Joystick Awards. It's not anyone's fault but Jagex's. The players have told you they don't want this content. The players have told you the content they want. And yet you still ignore them, to further some mysterious, fruitless cause.
I also feel kinda bad for Mod William. Every time one of these horrible updates comes out, it's his name at the top. How does it feel to have your company throw you to the wolves when this stuff comes out? You are nothing more than the sacrificial cow for Jagex.

why do you constanly promote pay to spin?

We want to give people options on how they choose to support RuneScape. Though some people would prefer to pay more for membership, some people much prefer buying the occasional optional cosmetic items or lucky-dip prizes from the SoF. Some people prefer not to spend any money and not to buy membership! The purchases directly go towards the development of the game, the same way an increased membership fee would, except without it being a requirement for anyone.
When someone buys content from Solomon's General Store, they are supporting the game in a very direct manner and helping us keep the membership cost at its current level. :( bodi

I still don't understand why you have added the sof in the first place. You want more money, yet instead of choosing another option that would fit in better with the community, you decide to go agaisnt EVERYTHING you have been telling us not to do and even increase the amount of RWT bans since the sof has been released! You guys have removed the reason behind the RWT rule since the sof came out so you must know you are breaking your own rules. I am not saying allow RWT, but just removed the option to buy spins, if not the whole sof itself!

I'm sorry, but I would rather pay a 3rd party company for guaranteed gold, than waiting my money, satisfying a company that doesn't listen to their users.
More on topic, will these "summer items" be able to be traded over time?

jagex you really think that showing sequel of **** on the homepage is going to get you more players? how about keep the real updates at the top of the list rather than disappearing after the first few hours.
do you really think that people are going to buy spins for stupid items?
do you really think that give the ability to buy spins is the right thing to do, considering there are children the age of 10 playing this game? (leading to gambling addiction, and theft)
could anyone at jagex please tell me the difference between 3rd parties selling gp and your company selling spins which convert to gp? whats the difference? the only difference i see is 3rd parties sell gold at a fixed rate whereas spins require gambling for the customer, but a garantueed payment for ***ex ltd???
do you really think it is a good idea to spam us with SOF and SGS when most of the users who play the game are against the idea? not the idea of the games themselves but the fact that you can buy items with real money?
when did real world trading become ok? defined as real money for gold (gp) ingame
i hope one of the jmods hears this message because honestly you should be ashamed you work for a company like this.
