I don't care about the squeal of fortune being in the game or that microtransactions now exist. What annoys me to no end is that there hasn't been a decent quest since the elder kiln quest back in FEBRUARY. The penguin quest this month was nice but to wait 5 months for it? It should have been a grandmaster.
Last summer we got:
Salt in the wound (puzzle type quest)
Jadinko lair (amazing firemaking and hunter xp)
Clan Citadels (free crafting and smithing xp)
New GE layout (graphical)
Audio updates (meh)
Temple trekking rework (i actually want to do it now)
Branches of darkmeyer (amazing quest)
This summer:
Clan avatars (let's make clan mates hate each other)
Penguin quest (decent)
Social slayer (at best its the same xp/hr as going solo)
Gielinor games (actually pretty good in comparison to the other updates)
SoF + SgS update
SoF + SgS update
SoF + SgS update
SoF + SgS update
SoF + SgS update

At the end of the year, The cone will turn into a cosmetic only.
I prefer my tiara with 8k charges over the cone any day, Just like wearing the cone
