@player34354 - I don't know what, if there are any, plans for alternatives. Closer to the release of EoC we'll have detailed info of all the tweaks and changes that have been made to it between the beta phase and the live release phase. Until then I don't have the info to give out.
Also, I agree with DieHunted. It's worthy of being posted in the suggestions forums which we can then have the development team take a look at.

I would love jagex to put SoF videos on their youtube channel, just to see the mass of hate that they wouldn't be able to regulate l0l

Okay jagex, in all seriousness:
Good gaming companies focus on ways to improve the game which will please their gaming community as a whole. I GUARANTEE if you take a poll on the EoC and the SoF, the results would be somewhere around 10% to 90% or 20% to 80% with the majority not just disliking, but HATING these ridiculous updates. Take a look on other gamin communities out there. WoW has managed to not only keep their old members but actually attract new members. It's because they actually care about their customers's satisfaction; something you guys obviously don't know a thing about. Even if you just made these updates just like a patch note or a side update instead of for the main update of the month, I guarantee the community as a whole would be much happier. I'm tired of logging in and having to look for an update just to have my hopes and happiness crushed by your pure ignorance and indifference to the gaming communities' desires. Some people would say fire the creators of these, honestly, I have to say, they are some decent items, but put them to actual ingame content. Concerning the Chef Minigame/DoD, why can't you just put the workers towards something along those lines. I swear, start making people happy or you guys will be in the red BIGTIME, due to people just actually quitting. There are actually plenty of petitions of people actually requesting the repeal of the EoC and there are countless posts about the dissatisfaction of the SoF. Again, just stop the nonsense and get real.
First post I ever made (I think), because I usually find the forums rather useless. I have only checked them to see game updates, but I am absolutely tired of this BULL$#*!. Start making real updates and get back to the good old days.

I'm really getting sick to the stomach of this stuff.
I don't know how much more constructively I can explain it besides that I just hate it.
I miss real exciting content. I can't be the only gamer who wants to actually play RuneScape. :(
