If you guys needed to increase membership fees to the highest they've ever been AND add micro-transactions to the game to stop it from going higher, you have to ask yourself what you've been doing wrong to lose so many players.

Parties are supposed to be fun, and are supposed to be a source of utmost enjoyment to people who participate in them. If all Jagex does is to put out updates to the Solomon's general store and the squeal of fortune with aesthetically displeasing items (Come on, going out in an ice cream cone hat?) twice every week, not to mention shoving annoying reminders and ads into my face when I log in, and proceed to call it a summer party, then I believe there is evidence that Jagex does not grasp the idea of a party very well at all. It is not a party, when all such "updates" are met with fierce criticism. This ridiculous streak of insanity is the absolute opposite of a party, it is a form of brute force - to put it at its mildest - of pushing microtransactions to the faces of unhappy player's faces.
The cheesy, cheeky and cringeworthy grin of Yelps is essentially the epitome of what Jagex is in recent times - greedy, money grabbing, unproductive, while at the same time totalitarian and deluded, refusing to admit and face what they are changing the game into, happily indulging in their own "Sizzling Summer" beach party on their newly bought strandkorb, straight from their unhappy player's wallets.

I got ice cream hat today and i converted it to coins,
got 15k :D but yea... im still not gonna buy spins.
You gonna have to start selling gp, there is no other

10m=8 dollars...i would buy that :D But only from official jagex store.

xasmir, the gold sellers in ge belong to IVP will that do you,as far as the bs updates,well I guess i'll get the rain cloud,bcos as far as im concerned they can shove it up their collective backsides. And you got to love MOD Timo,keep ur questions coming,I'll pass them on,Timo,please drink more coffee & wake up ffs,we're all aware by now you don't give a flying terd about what we think,nice gesture I suppose,but epic fail.

The sad thing is that Jagex doesn't even listen to its customers any more...sign of a company going into decline. The only way I think they will take notice is if they lose a considerable chunk of their player base. I don't know about you but I was a lot happier paying less per month for a new quest every week back in 2004. Well I guess I will do my bit and cancel my subscription until they make at least 5 new quests. That free million experience, Jagex? You know where you can shove it.
