How COULD you permanently ban someone whose spent 606 days of their life on your game for cheating one time? Are you kidding me? Do you realize how in a single instant you've made 2 years of a person's life utterly pointless, for one slip up? A temporary ban, sure. A permanent ban? Unbelievable. SHAME on you, Jagex. I mean it when I say you have your priorities messed up. I cannot believe you.

How lovely. You banned, what?, 15 or so accounts for bug abuse. My congratulations to you for your amazing effort at tracking down these rule breakers and banning them.
Now, how about getting your asses in gear and tracking down those 100 million or so bot accounts who are ALSO rule breakers and banning them???
Its not so hard really......just set up your cannon at the door to Aubrey's magic shop in Varrock and see how many rune ess bots get trapped.
Jagex, a news item like this demonstrates that you have absolutely NO credibility on the issue of going after rulebreakers where you ban a fraction of rulebreaking accounts while you let the thousands upon thousand of bots off scotfree.
While I am not condoning bug abuse, your sheer hypocrisy of banning these 17 rulebreakers while letting the rulebreaking bots off with a pass shows the low level to which your hypocrisy descends.
Fail.

This is completely ridiculous tbh. what part of this IS JAGEX'S FAULT Don't you guys understand. You know who should get banned? its the jagex mod who are responsible for the bug existing in the first place. What ****** says no to free money??? I'm sure if a max cash stack wasn't required for this EVERYONE would have done it. you know what this is??! this i jagex making an example out of a few poor people who have no previous records and are clean players to distract us away from the fact that they fail in preventing bots. IM NOT ASKING JAGEX TO BAN BOTS IM ASKING JAGEX TO STOP BOTS BLOODY WORKING IN WHICH CASE THERE WOULD BE NO BOTS AND SO NOONE NEEDS TO GET BANNED. And to all the idiots saying ahhh those maxed players probably botted, NO THEY DIDN'T. They done every task and every quest in the game can that be botted? they have 120 dung they have 99 slay you people are completely ridiculous. And jagex you FAIL. I think its time you forgive those players roll them back to before the glitch and forget about it since the glitch is inherently YOUR FAULT not theirs. If i knew about this glitch i swear to god i would have done it to get extra money why the hell not? thats human nature, whats not human nature is you jagex so called professionals failing to develop your game bug-free. WE DID NOT ASK FOR THE BUG YOU MESSED UP JAGEX THESE PLAYERS SHOULD NOT BE BANNED.

Bottom line is : cheaters never prosper. He shouldn't of bug abused like that so him getting banned is his fault only. He knew the risks and still abused to the max.
I have no sympathy for people like that and neither does Jagex. I hope this teaches him a valuable lesson about breaking the rules in future

Well done Jagex in naming and shaming a small few of the banned players. It would be a good idea to name all of the players banned when you have found all of them.
The bit i do not agree with is this statement.

Surely if players (i can imagine some high profile players!) are included in the above. if they went into crucible with max cash and abused more than ONE time they HAVE cheated and should be cleaned out and banned for life. Dont go lightly on them or they will cheat again.
WHY would anyone go into the crucible with max cash in the first place???

Yeah, because Runescape Usernames are such private and delicate information....
If anything this was a good way to put out the message that these kinds of people aren't welcome and will get a "public hanging" of sorts.
