Hello, Jagex? Anyone home? Just in case you forgot: your MAIN PRODUCT is supposed to be a GAME, which is called RUNESCAPE, and used to feature such strange things as QUESTS which actually contained LORE about a well-developed GAME WORLD with a rich HISTORY. They used to do this through the use of high quality STORYLINES. Also, rumour has it the game contained a number of SKILLS and MINIGAMES which received UPDATES every once in a while or were actually REBALANCED in case they were worthless in their current form *cough*smithing*troublebrewing*cough*.
I think you are under the mistaken assumption that your MAIN PRODUCT now is a gambling system called the SOF and a cosmetic paperdoll system to print money and have been under said assumption for almost all of 2012. Let me assure you - THEY ARE NOT.
Now how about pulling your heads out of your collective behinds, taking a hint from your players (hey, do you remember that word - "players", not "gamblers", not "spinners" etc) and going back to working on the awesome GAME you once used to be famous for? Once you go NXT, you never go back.

Also, a round of empathy for Mod William, who seems to have picked the short straw and has been chosen to become the most reviled JMod ever by having to announce all this microtransaction cr@p that has taken the place of our once beloved game.

Jagex don't care about the real players of the game, the one who represent it to the rest of the internet - they only care about the slacking mothers and stupid children who only play every weekend and those are the people who buy this stuff. It's a good thing Guild Wars 2 is coming out soon so we can all hop to a better MMO.
