@Utter Hatred If they keep doing this it will lose them money. Not that many people buy spins, I doubt even 100 of the 100,000 players are buying spins. So, if Jagex goes over the line with the microtransactions and half the people quit it will definitely make Jagex lose money. If you think that if half of the player base quit the other half would pick up the slack by buying spins then you're crazy.
Also, the whole EoC occupying them is total bull. They still have enough time to develop a whole new store of microtransactions. Why can't they just add a new monster with a new drop? Heck, why can't they just fix the zoom glitch!? We're not asking for gamechanging updates, we just want something not solomon/sof related.

Well... I planned on quitting in September after the EoC but I'm thinking that I won't buy even one months more membership now...
These updates are complete crap and it's obvious that Jagex couldn't give a flying F**K about the players. This is what it will come down to. They will squeeze money and make more and more SoF updates and SGS updates until the majority of the members quit. Then they will open their eyes and realize how idiotic all of this is. Maybe then they can finish the return of Zaros quest line which has been an amazing one so far. Maybe a year from now when they have lost the majority of the player base they will remove the 3 worst updates they have ever thought of:
Squeal of Fortune
Solomon's General Store
and the Evolution of Combat.
Or maybe they will just count the cash as the game crumbles then go find a job somewhere else and put "developer of runescape, the largest free to play MMORGP" What a bunch of BS.

Disappointed on how your doing with Summer Events...
Portal from Lumby to Transform into a giant Beach Themed area.
With Horse Shoe throwing(ranged),tent building(construction) everyone knows those things are horrible to build.
But instead you use these spins with Little to nothing Creativity.
I hope yall have more planned then just Spins.

I really wish jagex would listen to players opinions before releasing these updates, because then they wouldn't happen and the game would not only be more enjoyable but more successful.
Jagex have said they listen and communicate with their players but in reality this doesn't happen and is the reason why the game is dying.
If any Jmods actually read this, which seems very very unlikely, take a look at the comments above this, you'll see 99% of them hate these updates
I know that many Jmods don't have the power to stop these decisions but if they stood up against it collectively they could just save the game we've all known and loved for years.
