I've been playing Runescape for a while now and lately it seems like I won't be able to for much longer. I am seriously disappointed in the quality and focus of recent updates in the game, namely the Squeal of Fortune, Solomon's shop, and Member's points shop. I feel these things cheapen the game and take away it's legitimacy. I like the prizes and feel that the ones who put in effort in the game should be rewarded but can't help but feel that the prizes in these shops/activities would be better placed into reward selections for minigames or random events within the game though random events have been in the process of being phased out. When I joined this game it was and still is marketed "the number one free MMORPG" but every update as of late has been a lazy way of saying "get membership or go away." Having been a member for a very long while during my time playing this game I can't bring myself to actually play the free version of the game for lack of content. I understand that membership is JaGex's main form of income but I feel a better way to spur membership signup is to create high quality playable content as well as continually improving visual quality but the emphasis being on the playable stuff. On top of that the issue of bots which I understand and saw to have existed since the very early days of the game needs to be tackled more in a way that the legitimate players can see. Bots have been heavily influencing the game's economy and negatively affecting the game as a whole. One last issue is the feeling lately that the mods have not been interacting nearly as much with the players and that our concerns aren't being addressed or even recognized whereas in the past we had commentary with JaGex mods in the forums much more regularly.
These issues I'm sure affect every player and personally I feel as if Jagex is trying to kill it's game. I will not be purchasing membership for the foreseeable future until such time as I feel otherwise and others should too.

PAHAHA, JaGex you pu$*ies, getting rid of the "Rants" in the forums section, you hypocrites.
So someone could get these shark fists, go to the wilderness and since they have almost identical stats to the DC's, they could kill someone and risk nothing. RWT you d|cks.
