If this company was still owned by Jagex, we likely still wouldn't see any of these things. No Loyalty Programme, no Vanity Items, no SoF, and no SGS.
Jagex is a business, but what you don't see is it's not JUST Jagex anymore. For the past 18 months it has been Jagex[IVP]. All this shameless promotion crap getting people to buy into microtransactions and membership has not been Jagex alone. It's been the majority shareholder behind their back ordering them what to do.
People whine about SoF because it's not something Jagex would do alone, at least not for a long time. People whine about SoF because it was one of the worst things the new Jagex, one backed by greedy investors who don't care about the game.
If you just tell people not to play the wheel, or get over it, you should keep it to yourself. It's ignorant; rude... and shows you haven't played the game as long as most of us have, and not know the attachment one would have to a company whom actually loved and appreciated their community when they were not being controlled by people with money and the sole aim to make more regardless of what happens to the game they put their investment in to begin with.
