I can't understand why so many people are complaining about SoF and solomon's store...do you people not understand that jagex is a company? You say that the game is not what it was in the past. Of course it isn't, it's the past! The company needs to implement new ideas to keep the gameplay interesting and fresh for their target audience. Just like in nature, the animals that can adapt are the ones that survive. An article I read on forbes, interviewing jagex CEO, quoted a ratio of 7 non paying members to 3 paying players. The Jagex player base is extremely small...no more than 170k people playing online at any given moment. The company needs money for you to even have a game to play so it would be nice if people stop complaining and show a little support to jagex when they're only trying to make the game exciting for a broader set of people.

Here's a fair suggestion,
Make EVERYTHING on the SoF cosmetic and un-tradable, add vanity items to the rare and super rare slots (bow, flaming skull etc).
The lucky armour already won is non-retrievable so it will not effect the Grand Exchange.
Once a year or so add a tradable item to the rare slots (like the fish mask).

- Players who want this game to live.

Well, I have a higher and higher incidence of players approaching me in game and asking me to buy a member card, give them the pin, and they will pay me in RS Gold. I have been playing since late 2004, and I actually have never been asked before, and now it is becoming a regular occurence.
Jagex, you have blurred the line between real money and your pixels with this SoF micro-transaction, and you are teaching your new generation of players that pixels and money are interchangeable. Players thinking that it is okay buying rs gold from botting companies is bound to increase because of the new principles you are building this game on.
Solomon and the cosmetic items don't concern me, but the experience being sold from SoF is very problematic. Is it really that hard to find ways to reward in-game experiences that you have to continue down this integrity bereft course? I already see the community becoming more and more convinced there is no difference between botting and gold selling and rwt and what you have chosen to do. That the community will develop these beliefs is because of your choices.

GOOD. Finally, a SoF update that actually does some good instead of ruining the game further (even though I'd rather see the SoF gone altogether).
It's actually a fantastic replacement for the stupid lamp stockpiles from SoF. You actually have to work even after receiving one, not just get all the ready-made XP at your doorstep.
Make your one good update better, Jagex, by making these pendants a replacement rather than a addition to the SoF lamps. And please don't add any more tradable rares or overpowered items to the SoF. You've revived some hope from me in you, Jagex, please don't make me lose it all over again.

Jagex seriously stop making all these money making schemes, if you need money then go ahead and do what you have in mind, sell us gp, I dont see gp as much of a disadvantage to players since if anyone could buy money then the economy would eventually fall into place, and i think gp selling is no problem for you guys unlike the botting companies that have to farm for it, you would be making money and getting partially getting rid of the gold farming bots, provided u sell us like 5mil for 1$ because other sites sell like 1mil per $ and u guys could generate all the gold you wanted to so you could profit even if u sold 100mil a $ (but that would be stupid lol) in exchange for that please get rid of the general store i find it dumb and meaningless that stuff in it should have gone to the loyalty store. However you guys should keep sof since its not soo bad and u still get a free spin each day and the usual 1k :P
