"Give us $10-15 for 2 months of subscription time and WIN EVERYTHING" is basically what I read lol. I mean, I'm not going to say no to 700k xp. After all, there was no bonus xp weekend so we're about due for a little bonus. The "choose your fate" is what concerns me though. "The 4 most powerful items in RuneScape" sounds like something that new players would desperately want to have at some point, and also something that they will never be able to get after September. I doubt they would release a super-powerful weapon or anything that would basically = win for anyone who has it, but they are throwing flaming piles of xp at us, so who knows. The whole "powerful" thing is probably just a joke, like the "pea hats" for April Fools, but I'm excited to see what it will be.
On a more serious note, I have no problem with this. I think it's nice for a game developer to throw their players a bone every once in a while. After all, the game did just hit 200m free players and there was no bonus xp weekend this year. People seem to be all up in arms because all of this free stuff is being given away, but every company does promotional events to get customers to give them money. This gives free players the incentive to make the jump to members, it gives subscribing members a gift, and locks in those who were on the fence about cancelling their subscription. Any way you look it it, it's a win-win. The players get phree st00f, and Jagex gets more money to develop more future content.
Also, call me crazy, but I'm sure this has something to do with the release of another big game (which shall remain nameless) at the end of August. Just saying.

OKAY! Someone help me. (Maybe a mod?)
I am going to be away for the first half of August, and I know I wont be getting those spins :( ... But will I still be counted as a Member for the entire month, and get the 350k exp? And same question ... Will the affect me in CHOOSE YOUR FATE?
