what comes to mind is Jagex are flogging a dead horse every update is messed up, which is a shame as I love this game and made many good friends but this game is in freefall and nothing will save it, All these bonus xp rewards it seems to me they are doing them in desperation.
I'm guessing new members are slowly shrinking and loyal members are quitting quite sad really. Just my thoughts

Edit: also, cant help but notice the slow but sure transition from £ to $ in all your recent promotions.

Squeal of fortune is a scam anyway. I've recently started up again on Runescape and have had this account since 05. The fact they're using gambling to make themselves more money is ridiculous considering a lot of players are not even old enough to gamble...with fake money let alone real money.
But yeah...xp is good, free items? doubt it, because everyone in the world of Runescape will have them. tradeable? worthless.

Well I'd keep my membership running anyways now (unless something truly outrageous happened).. But yeah I suppose this is kinda nice.
Does sound a bit desperate though Jagex, a friend of mine who is looking to join the game soon even thought it sounded bad and he's not really aware/interested of/in the promotions and stuff.
Although it is nice to see you are thinking of keeping your membership base strong and also pass on some nice rewards to us without having to splash out extra!
I do hope you are putting all this extra revenue to good use! Oh and P.S - I'm never really planning to be a free-player again, but it'd be nice if you could look into reviving the F2P atmosphere after the next bot nuke.. It looked a bit run down, and that is the first face of RuneScape for newbies as it were!
