remove EoC and make combat exactly as it was before, your stubborness fucking killed the game the day EoC was launched.

It was stubborness on both sides that killed the game when it was first introduced, Jagex for forcing it and the community for refusing to give it a chance. I was one such person, it threw such a spanner in the works for me at the time so much so that I threw in the towel and went on a 5 or so year hiatus until I returned two years ago out of curiousity. I've played the game since the only version of it was RSC so I felt like a fish out of water when it was first implemented.

I forced myself to get used to new combat system when I did return and what I once detested, now I greatly prefer over the former. If you honestly believe the old combat system is better than what it is now.. I have a feeling we won't agree on that topic. If Jagex reverted the combat system to what it originally was I reckon that'd have the opposite effect to what you believe it would have; I dare say it would possibly repeat history, in fact.

old school runescape is absolutely fantastic! the only reason i dont play it more is the fact i had to restart my account essentially, i do not have a huge amount of time to devote to runescape like i did when i was younger so it will take me a good while before my old school account is up to par, having said that runescape 3 is great these days, it has had many speedbumps, loss of wildy and eoc are glaring examples, having said that i have one issue with rs3, and i know its far too late to change it, but the cosmetics you can buy, specifically armor sets. are the only thing i would get rid of, i mean.....the fact they have no stats, it just idk seems pointless to me. your outfits back in the day really meant something. they were either worth alot of gp or they had great stats, with the coming of the cosmetic overrides i feel like outfits in general have lost their value. not to mention the fact you buy them with real world money. i mean seriously back in the day real world money being used for in game items was the most frowned upon thing in the world of runescape. i just hope jagex realizes the severity of the mistake they made upon the integrity of the game and i realize there is nothing that can be done. but damnit man.....rs3 would be soooooooooooo much better without them

The problem with this survey is that Osborne is asking which games to copy. If you are making a new standalone product that takes YEARS. And by the time you finish people might not be interested anymore. You can ask the Transformers team about that!

Ideally you would have at least one creative person who could come up with ideas that could be quickly put together on this game engine and would appeal to a wide variety of players. And not just your target audience of completionist whackos. (Did I mention Osborne already???)

It's not even that hard. You can make things. You can destroy things. You can move things. Wow, I wonder if I could come up with something???? I told y'all before I am not making suggestions because you will just turn around and sell them on the SOF. And that is a joke. You should always be doing the best you can.

From the survey:

19. Please rank your top 3 RuneScape activities by the amount of time you've spent doing them in the last 3 months?

Man, would I love to name questing my top 1 RS activity!
Oh, wait, there were no new quests in the last 3 months...

With questions like this, it might be easy for you guys to come to the conclusion that people simply love skilling/bossing/all the other options, because they've spent most of their gaming time with those activities.
And the next conclusion you might come to after this one could be 'Who needs quests then, right?'.
If so, in both cases your conclusions would be incorrect.
Just sayin'.

EDIT:
Okay, guys, now is it just me, or is this survey just simply freaking stupid?
I mean you kind of lost me after question 35. What does it have to do with the future of Runescape what I do in my free time when not playing, or what websites I'm visiting? (And what business is it of yours by the way?) How does Steam and buying from them comes into this? And Runescapifying other games? Really? And of course no option to skip or deny answer on these questions, how interesting...
Sorry guys, but I really have a feeling that you are actually doing some sort of market research here rather than actually trying to work on Runescape itself. :@

what i would like is for dragon armor and granite armor red an black dragon hide to be f2p as well as the pvp game modes the elemental waves and surges and other magic skills that require non member runes. the vast expanse of pve game modes need to be f2p as well. this will bring in more new players as well as appeal to families in poverty because they dont need to subscribe for their kids to pvp and the unique armors like ahrims and weapons like the godswords are fine as members only. also make the ranger gear only the dhide so it wont be as clunky with black dhide being at 60 and all lv 60 armor require dragon slayer. with these changes plus also making members stuff dlc packs also youll have more options and flexibility and get more players in the long run and keep the membership as a cheaper option for the members stuff but players can get access to it by purchacing individual bundles. elder scrolls online does it and has free pvp and the original game was $20 so why wont you do the same tactic but the base game be free to play.

I can only hope that isn't the purpose of this survey because I picked up a vibe that they're potentially considering creating a brand new game that's based around the universe that Runescape exists in thus meaning everyone starts from square one.

If that is the case , I'm not even going to bother as it will just feel like the RSC > RS2 > RS3 > OS (AKA. RS2) > ? process being repeated and forcing everyone to start from scratch; games such as this one are such a major time sink that the thought of having to essentially throw it all away would be giving a middle finger to those of us who have stuck around since the beginning.

Sure, if it prolongs the life of Jagex fair play but.. in the process they'll be severing ties with people such as myself. As much as I enjoy Runescape, my loyalty will end if faced with a choice of throwing almost 15 years away of time I've put into this over the years to start from scratch because they fucked up by splitting the community with actually going through with Old School (AKA. RS2) instead of sticking it out with RS3 and leaving it at that.

I started the survey but did nt finish it because i did nt like as lot of questions such as : which apps do you use, which site do you visit, beside runescape what else do you do. also questions about xboxes etc etc, which i dont own but i had to fill in an answer. I would have finished the survey if all questions had an "i dont want to say " option.

Im an older runescape player, let just say im born in the sixties, this survey didnt feel like it was made for all ages.

a missed opportunity

Mods, your survey is faulty. O_o I have ground to a halt at question 41, which asks which PC & console games you play.

You can't proceed beyond question 41 without selecting a game genre for PC & console games - even though I have already said at question 39 that I don't play any (0 hours spent).

Question 41 needs an option for 'none'. As do questions 43 & 44 - I didn't look any further on, as I couldn't proceed without giving false answers.

Any chance this can be tweaked to let me (and others) finish the survey?

Nice fail here Looks like the QA team was asleep once again.

Question #41, can not be answered.
I do not play any other games.
There is no box for no other games
I will not lie just to complete you survey.
I guess you really DON'T want me input.
