I bought the patbreaker on here and I tried playing the game but it won't update and give the sword to me. Wasted some runecoins but I was hoping for it.

Saw a post somewhere saying if you quit over this update its just another idiot posing as a RS fan.
I've been playing this game for 8+ years, even have my haloween scythe from way back then. And honestly to me, this last year has been more than disapointing, these updates bring nothing new to the game. Its all starting to look like the Karma Coins over at Nexon...
"You dont have to buy anything" - Sure we dont, but that means that its content thats being withheld from us. We pay a membership fee to have access to all content, having to pay to unlock content makes it feel like we're being cheated.
"Its only cosmetic" - Sure, for now maybe, later who knows? And even if its just cosmetic, why cant I earn my emote in a minigame, or my new techniques in a quest, why do I have to pay for this crap? Hell you could even add this crap to the Loyalty Program but then i guess you wouldnt get money.
"They need money" - We all understand that from the last updates, even the prices on the items are a mockery (FREE 200 coins! Costumes at 216! Oops, buy 16 coins? ah nevermind youll have to buy 200more since they come in packs).
"I dont have the time, purchasing is good for me" - Its not for us, so make it accessible to us as well
To make it clear : Nobody dislikes the ideas of the costumes/emotes/graphic updates. What we dislike is having to pay extra for things we feel entitled to. The membership fee is to play in the P2P world, and to enjoy P2P updates. With updates like this we only get to play P2P, but the updates need to be purchased?
To those who agree with the update, yeah its only cosmetic, we can ignore it, but when we are paying to play the game, we want all content to be UNLOCKABLE just by playing since we already pay.
SOLUTION : make Runecoins obtainable in game like SoF spins, or if the community really wants to, remove it. Jagex, your money comes from us, dont mess with us please.
