The problem with runescape is that it is no longer controlled by game developers.
When Jagex became an American company it was only a matter of time before update decisions were made by financial people.
Game updates used to be about improving the playing experience and because most of the development team played too then the updates were always for the good of the game. The belief was that if the game was good people would pay membership and that was enough to fund the development.
'Updates' are now sole* based on commercial decisions with no thought to the game experience. Jagex are feeding off a minority of players' greed. The players that would rather pay for xp from SOF than obtain their xp from playing the game.
It's a very sorry state for this game to get itself into and one that I, personally, cannot see it getting itself out of.
As long as the money men pull the development strings there will continue to be 'updates' to expolit the greedy.

The items sold in this store are brilliant and great ideas! Seeing these make me want to really max out my account with that in mind,
I only played RuneScape for everyone had a fair shot, the only difference was p2p or f2p, not how much money you had in real life, but your hard work and skills in game, now you seem to be replacing that with money, this is unfair and you are losing my membership.

This really makes me sad, anyway i'm not playing runescape much, about less than hour per week, because of these money milking things...

Huh? No wonder so many noobs these days are rich, they can just purchase a hundred spins and gets millions of money and stuff, they might as well buy every single item in the Solomon's store and be famous too. It's no fair... why use real money all the time, your just doing this so people that don't spent real money like me will be jealous of the people who do spent money on Runescape, all these emotes and titles and items are driving me nuts! Can't you just slow it down a bit and stop the money greediness? Runescape is getting too, like, too tacky with updates now. I sure hope the evolution of combat update is good...
