I'm saying that even though you're right, that despite Balance leaving, his thread still stands, I bet Jagex is still going to invalidate it now that "Balance is no longer a part of the company", even though he might have simply been the messenger with that thread.

Just like now, most of the rage in that thread isn't that MTX exists necessarily (though, I'd really rather it DIDN'T myself) or that prices are going up. It's that all revenue seems to disappear into a black hole instead of being reinvested into the game, with Jagex holding out its freaking beggar's cup to the players after hitting record profits year after year.

Ah, I see. Yes, I fear that may be what happens.

If we take a look at another example. EA, though very different from our Chinese overlords, has bought out a bunch of smaller game developers (Bioware, Visceral Games, Dice, etc) and then proceeded to shut a bunch of them down (as Visceral Games dicovered). 6 year continuous member over here, yeah that's me. I just think this is a load of whatever bull crap this may be. Why does Jagex feel like they need more money for micro transactions. They asked me in a survey what I think about the price of membership and all that. I said I think the prices could be lowered or should be. Other people did the survey to of course. So how many people would of said they think the membership prices are too cheap or not expensive enough? I don't think anyone would say that.

This is preposterous, I abject!

After all is just an illusion you still getting pay the same as 10 years ago. Some people just don't see that way but I do...

Thanks for the update. I be saving a little more so I can continue playing the game I am so in love with.

I think I will make a 5 years subscription just to keep up and stay on the save side.

Sirius Radio raised their prices by 1.00 a month as well, I cancelled my 4 subscriptions because if that. The rich get richer and the product remains the same or worsens. RS is a good diversion but so are other games like Runes of Magic or Rift that are free to play. You buy things that you want, not what they want. It will be buy buy when my sub ends.
