i think they do it via the first time you paid for membership, if its not that then they're horrible at keeping track of time because again when the 5 year cape came out i had been playing for 6-7 years and had to wait a few months to get the cape. You don't know the power of the Dark Side!

can anyone use this thing?! Sheesh, I still have 224 days. I technically played before that, I dunno if this counts nonmembers years? Plus I had a second account I'm probably tallying into those years...
Also noticed a new microtransaction shop. All vanity thank God, and no new pop-ups. Not worse than the Squeal of Failure of course, but I'm hardly going "yeah, I'm forking over real life cash for a new teleport animation"! Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

I've just been back to visit Hans and I'm really cross now. He reckons I've over 3 years to wait when I known darn well I've been playing and paying as a member for over 10 years. We moved into our present house 8 years ago and I was playing over 5 years before that. It's not the cape or lack of it that annoys me, it's the fact that Jagex have taken my subscriptions all these years and have not been bothered to keep accurate accounts. If I could find a phone number I would give them all a right rocketing. It just shows contempt for their members.

that's trollex for you they only care about the money it did that to me with the 5 year cape i only had to wait a few months but i had been playing for 5-7 years. it just shows that they fail. -_- :| i'm not even going to go look at the 10 year cape it'll probably tell me i need 7+ years which is great sense i have the 5 year. You don't know the power of the Dark Side!
