I just wish people would learn how to spell the word "lose"! It's not loose, loose is when your shoestring comes untied. It's loose so you retie it. Lose is when you have lost something, or will lose something. Like, I have a GS, and i don't want to lose it! Seriously though, the Beta is great, and the EoC when it comes out will be even better, so I don't think Jagex will "lose" as many players as all of the whiners are saying they will.

Now that I finally get to participate in the beta(Not being able to before being due to a combination of a really bad selection system and work for the past few weekends.)I find it intriguing, so much more complex then the old system. So much more to memorize, I am currently unsure weather I like it more then the old one or not, but I do not believe it to be as bad as what some folks are saying.
Two things right off the bat though, 1- the abilities book could use a few more organization options, right now it seems to be just level based but you have to scroll down and everything and since there are...6 or 7? Or 8? Different ability bars that takes a while. Although it may just be that I have not yet memorized the abilities yet.
Two- Please oh please set up some PVP multi and non multi areas. I am really sick of trying to fight one guy my level in clan wars and being attacked by two level 200's and 3 other dudes. Why is CW multi anyways? Just make some non multi and multi areas please.

I started playing in 2006 approximately and have been a member for most of those years. When I first started playing in free-to-play I idolised the players in full rune armor fighting in the wilderness. I used to mine coal at the skeletons, collect runes in the dark warrior fortress and bury big bones at the boneyard. Someday I wanted to be able to make full rune armor for clans and basically own everybody.
But as I slowly leveled up and completed quests I became a member and discovered much more ways to make money. There was quicker training and quests gave me huge xp rewards and moneymaking areas. Now as a max combat player with all quests complete I feel as if I neglected the best parts of runescape and all I want is a bit of fun back into the game.
This is just my personal opinion and if Jagex only put in some of the things included here it would make Runescape alot more fun. I remember when Runescape didn't feel like a grind to max levels or coins but an actual adventure...I just hope Jagex haven't forgotten what their name stood for. "Just about the Gaming Experience."
I present some ideas to help Jagex to revive the Wilderness and help save most pkers from quitting.
Number 1: There could be a new area located north of the wilderness. All the new bosses that drop the parts of armor sets and new weapons introduced in the EOC Beta would be located here.
Number 2: New resources such as dragon rocks to mine or new fishing spots for high level food near mage bank. Any more suggestions are welcome.
Number 3: New Wilderness Dungeons where you can fight bosses in groups or solo but you lose all the items you risk with no gravestone. These would be instanced for each player or group so noone could attack you. These bosses would drop the new parts of armor sets and weapons in the EOC Beta.
These are all just ideas and I am open to any suggestions or changes necessary to keep Runescape the fun adventurous game I remember. Thank you for reading. :)

I agree with you wildyupd8plz, for me Runescape has lost its...er...aura. It does not feel like it did back in 2007 when I started playing. It is more about level grinding and mini gaming then adventure anymore.
A suggestion I would make is for Jagex to set up 10 or X number of servers with older type Runescape, from around the 2006-2007 era, before the ruinous wildy update and the economy slaughtering grand exchange. Lets see how many people want to get onto those servers. I would love to play again when Bandos/Torag were the best melee armors and the whip and GS's ruled.
Eventually, you guys could hold player votes on which updates made over the years to keep, not all of them were bad, some were horrible well some were great and some were...um....completely fluff. Unnecessary in every way.

I have a thought. I read before in the earlier news about the combat beta that Jagex is trying to get players to fight monsters at our level. I agree, however, there is one thing that will need to happen first. If we are supposed to fight at our level, how about adding in some dependable money making methods in all skills, even combat, so we can afford to buy the weapons and armor at our level? It does no good to tell a player who has level 62 attack, strength and defense to fight his level when they cannot even afford full rune, much less full dragon, which their level would suggest, and don't get me started on third age or even pernix. You want us to fight at our level, then help us get what we need to fight at our level. Also, add in more monsters so we all can fight them. I said in another thread that green dragons are only found in the wilderness. Doesn't say much for Runescape when player killers are camping the green dragons to wipe me out when all I want to do is finish a slayer assignment or to fight at my level. Doesn't say much for Runescape when all the blue dragons in taverly dungeon are being botted 24-7 by the ranged bots and I can't get even one. And it doesn't say much for Jagex to tell us to fight at our level when those monsters are botted, our ways to make money is getting destroyed every day and Jagex knows about these issues yet they do nothing but repeat their message that Runescape is great even though we can see the soul of the game is dying. I have many ideas for making a game, and I will guarantee you my ideas will only help improve Runescape. How about this, new shields that fit on the players forearm, can be used by melee, mage and rangers to give a little more defense. The shields start a 2 finger distance from the wrist and cover the elbow. That allows for some defense and movement is not hindered. Imagine that with dual scimitars. Want another? A new dragon arrow with an animated dragon head that breaths fire. I have plenty more. Even the smallest person can change the course of the world. Problem is that I am too short to reach the steering wheel. ^_^

I thought the beta was really fun. It had some really good ideas and updates in it. However, I am concerned about the pure community. With all of the new armor updates pures with 1 def can't wear any of the old armor they have been able to wear, and because of the new total armor and life bonus, pures with 1 defence are at a huge disadvantage against people with defence now.

Love beta, except for 1 thing,
I am a bit worried that the fight caves and the fight kiln will become impossible to complete with this new damage is only reduced by 50% by protect prayers. Not only that, the players who have spent upwards of 200m would feel cheated as they have spent that much cash and it to be almost completely nerfed. I also worry that continuous GWD, Corp and nex kills will become as you will use an invent of brews in the first 30 seconds. I also think that barrows will become a "only high lelel activity" and the dominion tower will be massively increased in difficulty. People who want to do a multi-combat situation with say several high level monsters will be also extremely difficult and bork will also become impossible for the common low level that attempts him, as you will need more rocktails than is economical.
I think you kinda get my point.
I hope to hear a mod comment on this as many other people will have the same question

I feel like you are trying to steal WoW's community of players, which I'm perfectly okay with, but there is a reason that we are loyal to runescape. We don't like WoW all that much. You say you want more data. Well here's something that could possibly apply to your data.
My Suggestion~~
Open up the Beta all week long, make it have the same number of servers that are being used for the current version. That way you can have a data from both beta lovers and beta haters (or people not overly fond of it) Just do like you did with runescape classic and have seperate servers. That's all I really ask.
I'm a maxed out tank 109, 99 range mage defence prayer and hp. I'd really hate to lose that in the update, and be put with all the truly maxed players with 99 in every combat stat. Right now in crucible I can't even manage because I'm already fighting 138's and even with 99 def and the same gear (other than the melee gear) as them, I still get murdered.
