I know it is Sunday in the UK as I live there too. :)
So I expect minimal staff available to read these comments of ours
BUT
Are they still reading this or is it just to placate us?

Im not going to sound negative but with lots of bad experiences with china acquisitioning mmos,i really hope nothing comes out of this, there are many big potential games already ruined by chinese companies e.g Firefall. we really dont need anymore of this, Jagex has eaten their words many times before so despite what they tell us now things are about to take a turn for the worse if this happens.

anyone who reads this, tread with peril this is just the calm before the storm. and even with an urge petition this anti acquisition!

"Jagex is the developer of the popular online game RuneScape.

On March 14, the shareholders of Willkie client Jagex Limited, a leading independent developer and publisher of online games, agreed to sell their entire shareholding in the company to Chinese buyer Shanghai Hongtou Network Technology Co., Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.

The deal, which is conditional upon government approval in the PRC, is due to close at the end of June.

Jagex is the UK's largest independent games developer and publisher. The company's flagship game, RuneScape, holds numerous Guinness World Records, including that of the world's most popular free-to-play massively multiplayer online game (MMOG).

The deal was handled by corporate partners Gordon Caplan and Matthew Dean and associates Phil Coletto and Gerry Kelly, with tax advice from UK partner Judith Harger and associate Shinasa Was*mi."

--

That says it's already done (only thing they're waiting on is government approval from China) and Willkie represented Jagex, not the mining company.

Further to above, there's also a $100 mil down payment deadline of April 30 mentioned in a separate article.

There is likely some regulations from the British gov't that must be considered ? Perhaps also from USA where the current investment company ( majority interest ) is located ?

These kinds of deals are often claimed as "done" pending numerous regulatory hoops that result in failures.
