Most things I've seen about their financial report for last 3 years tends to show up after march.

The tax year starts around the first week in April here.. Probably why we are expecting an announcement about the sale in April.

A few years ago Jagex officially changed their financial year to end on 31st December. They have 9 months after that to file the accounts with Companies House (end of September).

Which kind of points to the they aren't hiding anything. They just aren't required to release it yet.
I'm a big entropy fan.

All subtlety and nuance of a napalm enema

I think you left a word or two out, I'm not sure what you mean but as Kiwi stated they changed their end of tax year but their annual return is still due in April, they don't seem to have changed that date as they filled theirs on the 28th April last year.

The G.E does not print bonds.. Players recieve them for spending money , then sell them to you for Gp. This makes Jagex more money than a subscription fee ..

That's other people's decision if they want to buy bonds with real cash and sell them, I cannot control that but I'm only concerned about where my hard earned cash goes.

Just to add: If players stopped buying and selling bonds and I were unable to buy them in-game then that would be it for me. Runescape is not that big of a deal for me, it's a pastime not a lifestyle as some players think.

With the asian market coming into play , there will be plenty of bonds for you to buy.. Along with all sorts of other goodies like tier 100 weapons to spend them on.. LOL

Their financial report is not due until September (they've often released it early). Cut and paste from the Companies House website: Next accounts made up to 31 December 2015 due by 30 September 2016

I've already stopped playing over this, but my subscription runs for a couple of months, I think. How can I cancel my account and be sure that the connection to my payment source is severed? I don't want that information saved.

Is it somewhere on the "cancel membership" screen?

I probably won't find another game that was this much fun, but "was fun" is how I tend to think about this game, lately.

When I cancel my membership, do I have to erase the payment information that I set up? How do I do that?

All I can think of is Censorship!!! .... Nothing against them but they don't do really well when it comes to openly...views. Take Google and Facebook for an instance. Didn't really work out for them did it? I'll hate to see this game change so much that it's unrecognizable and not player based friendly. Just because these people think they have the say and no one else does.

I'm not trying to bash any opportunities Jagex may receive from this cause I know money talks. But so does the people. :) I really hope everyone thinks this through cause it's really important.
And my questions are will this company have some say into the development of the game/games content? Such as restricting the players say into future game development.

P.S. I appreciate everyone at Jagex and thanks for letting us know about this situation.

anyone think that we should try and get another game company to buy jagex?

I'm thinking valve.

I have no experience in the gaming industry and even I know better than to acquire Jagex. Hence why a mining company is a realistic buyer .
