leaving the game development to the experts!

Speaking of which - aren't we still running on a game with an essentially ancient server?

Any plans to re-make RuneScape's server on a separate game, using the NXT client?

We still haven't heard one word from the new CEO since his appointment

Interestingly, Mod Rod was instrumental in helping us put these answers together. Rod's position has always been that the game development studio is doing a fantastic job and has a sensible strategy and so has not felt the need to get too involved.

He trusts us enough to communicate with you guys in ways we think are appropriate - which personally, I really value.

I think Rod's stance is indicative of how Jagex will continue to be run; leaving the game development to the experts!

We're doomed. :/

So my question about making sure grandfather rates are kept through any takeover got ignored, so i guess it would not be possible to guarantee, i would imagine it is a major question on many peoples minds atm because who would want to start paying x2+ for membership after being given the rate for so long.

I can see people leaving the game they love rather than pay twice as much tbh
I truely hope they keep the grandfather rates but in saying this I don't find the new rates too expensive. If you look at the price of video games on sale there price range is about the same if not more than the yearly price as this game.

The quality of the work aside: Jagex hasn't been financially up to what it once was in a long time (if the numbers floating around are true). How does the company considering acquiring Jagex plan to profit off of this venture enough to be worth such a high price tag?

I'm sure they intend to get into the Chinese demography which would help considerably, but will they be putting substantial resources into helping with localization and so forth, allowing the game to continue to grow (in a content manner) as it enters a new market?

Jagex has just posted it's most successful year - ever! I won't disclose or discuss financial information, but we have had a sensational year, and I understand exactly why potential investors are knocking on our door!
