I don't really know how to feel about it.
The more cynical side of me says all those kneejerk things, like even more micro-transactions, and investor meddling with the direction of the game. And of course more than a few 'selling out' claims for a game that's miraculously still alive after all this time, some even more cynical than I would say it's already in decline, and this whole acquisition is just a way out for Jagex.
The most optimistic side of me however, wants to believe all the extra resources from an acquisition can benefit the game, and it's current players. What that potential is exactly? I have no clue, but it would hopefully be enough to make me want to end my current hiatus.
From an opportunity standpoint, it's a heck of a lot of money, but I'd be very suspect about being acquired by undoubted interloper to the video game's industry, and also belongs to a country which is not positively associated with high-quality gaming trends.
