My other f2p game WoT had a game mod only available for the weekend where its pretty much a giant pool table and you have to shoot/ram the other tanks into the holes. And the tanks are like eight balls. Lots of fun.

But this acquisition certainly isn't an April fools joke.

China’s government-operated news agency has announced, “‘April Fools’ Day’ is not consistent with our cultural tradition, or socialist core values. Hope nobody believes in rumors, makes rumors or spreads rumors.”

Those who live on spreading rumors for their own gains, good luck in a few months. :)

Also, the Chinese government, although still called a Communist Party by many, told the world there are socialist core values in them.

If they go by Chinese (Lunar) Calendar, there definitely is no April Fools. They also don't recognize the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. No fear though, they don't ban Jesus and Christmas like what some Chicken Littles feared. Gods and religions are allowed there.

Dilbert it seems as if your saying that China will bring its censorship to the rest of the world through the game. Is this how you feel?

Absolutely not. Banning April Fools and such is aimed at curbing swindlers who try to use them as loopholes to hurt their People. They also prosecute fake religious people who are actually swindlers and anti-government parties in disguise. But they don't censor things like religions if their activities are conducted in truly religious ways. They are free to talk about Jesus, Allah, Budda.... Just about God.

Jagex has much stricter censorship than the Chinese government. You see more a lot of *** in the forums.
