But why does that imply it's short term? The deal looks fine as it is to my mind - rake off plenty of the below-the-line profit year on year, with luck the investment will appreciate.
Simply off of how VC works. They do not do short term. They do do pump and dump, but they don't do short term.
Also, due to the Modus Operandi of VC, it would actually be counterproductive to have a laissez-faire policy when it comes to your investment. Typically, these firms require controlling interest for the terms of investment so they can call all the shots
These firms also won't wait forever to make profits. This is especially true when the company's profits are in the red with their cash flow also being in the red.
Would something happen in less than a year? Unlikely.
But...18-24 months out? Looks more likely given the circumstances.
