This is hopefully going to be a positive. I know Jagex is a company and are in it to make money, but I don't think they are going to sell their game for it to be destroyed.

Logically, if they sell it and it destroys the game they'll make less money in the end and I doubt a skilled team of persons who are there to have the game make money are going to risk hurting any profits.

So unless it's a good deal that isn't going to destroy the game and only help it, I don't even see the deal going through.

Just my thoughts.

Don't forget that Jagex are owned by IVP, Raine and Spectrum - all of whom ARE out to make money (in this case $300,000,000).

IF they sell it, then they won't care what happens to it.

Dont forgot while it is true IVP has had a controlling interest since 2012. They did release many updates such as OSRS and recently Classic just to please the players. I think they deserve a little commendation for putting up with a wish washy ungrateful community.
Lol, such a naive comment. OSRS was released to attract back the players who quit because of EoC. Reopening Classic has no effect on its revenue whatsoever.

I don't know if selling JaGeX to a Chinese mining company is a great idea....

Rip RS3 2K16 if this does happen, MTX will increase, updates will decrease and it WILL have an affect on the game. Telling players that it wont is foolish, we're all grown-ups not some 12 year olds.

Talked about it with lots of friends, random people and the general opinion is: bad idea, will lead to end of RuneScape.

I will miss RuneScape :( i like trains

But yes, because the gaming cultures are fairly different, Asian servers (and hiscores) would probably have to be separate from the current Runescape servers. I wouldn't mind this.
Lol, something tells me they'll mess with the current game as well. And the sad thing is that there will always be whales in any game. MapleStory dwindled to roughly 10-20% of the population from 2006-2008 (this is for MapleSEA, the server I play on, I do not know about Global) and there's still a sizable amount of @cash being bought. They've already done goofed at that point.

No talking within ~5 hours with all these complaints?
